Okay...just
Was okay but not the usual Marriott
If you are here to ski then it is fine. If you are here to spend some quality family time that involves a bit of time in your rooms then I would be disappointed.
It just isn’t the quality we are accustomed to with Marriott.
The furniture looks worn and a balcony would go a long way. I can’t complain about the beds but the sofa had seen better days and some of the cookware could stand to be updated .
We generally stay at the Marriott closer to Lions Head for ease of walking but have stayed here twice this winter because of availability.
Have to be honest and say I will probably hold out next time for the Marriott in Lions Head.

Return Trip After Upgrades
We had stayed here last year at the same time when rooms in the Evergreen Building was being upgraded. The rooms are two bedroom.
One bedroom has a king bed and the other bedroom has two queen beds. The sofa also converts to a bed so the room is capable of sleeping eight. the kitchen is fully equipped and a washer & dryer are in each room for laundry.
Supplies for the dishwasher and washer & dryer are supplied. What surprised us was the condition of the cupboards in the room. If they were upgraded last year, they have taken a beating already.
It’s obvious many guests do seem to care about how furnishings in the rooms are treated. The door in the master bathroom showed water marks about an inch deep on the bottom of the door.
The hot tub and grill area by the creek side were torn out and under construction. We were informed of this about one week before we arrived. Other hot tubs were also under construction. the only hot tubs available were by the upper building on the hill and by the pool which was usually full of young children. Other than the pool area, there really aren’t any outdoor sitting areas for relaxation.
Overall, This facility does not compare to most other Marriott Vacation Club properties. I guess that is reflected in the points schedules. There are many other properties to stay in the Vail area and I would recommend researching other properties before selecting this one. It is the farthest property on the west side from where the activities of the area are located. they do have a shuttle service that runs every 30 minutes to the Lions Head & Vail shopping & dining areas as well as the ski hills.
Worst night I have spent in a hotel
We had a small suite with a pull down bed.
The bed was so uncomfortable that we couldn’t sleep at all. I tried sleeping on the sofa.
It wasn’t much better. I expected more from a Marriott.
The front desk person was very short with us.
Tired property
Needs a remodel which is planned for next year.
Several things in room were broken, tv, hairdryer, fireplace as well as the main hot tub.
Not up to typical Marriott standards.
Front desk staff are nice and helpful.
Disapointed
We are Marriott owners of timeshare and booked into this resort for one night.
On entering the apartment we could not believe the poor standard in comparison to other Marriott timeshare.
The ceiling had been patched up poorly. The room in general was tired and run down.
We had not used our marriott points for this one night stay and had paid £115 this certainly was not worth the money and feel if someone had been bothered to ask if our stay was ok we would of stated our disappointment.
It is my understanding that this property is due for refurbishment so my advise would be do not book into this place until this has happened especially if you are a person who uses Marriott hotels or timeshare regularly
Wish there was
We’ve been Marriott members for many years and have been to many resorts, this one was just okay.
We came to Vail as part of a huge family wedding with many rooms being rented on the property and in town. Don’t get my wrong the property is pretty, especially the fire pit, pool, hot tub, and creek.
I just wish there was a little something more here, there is no little shop to get anything in case you need toothpaste or anything, no restaurants or bars, nothing and nothing within walking distance.
The activities for the week were disappointing as well, not a whole lot to do, especially if you are over the age of 12.
I wish we got to use the shuttle services but when we asked for help/directions we got a confusing answer and ended up not on the right bus.
We had to leave Colorado in the middle of the night, in the middle of our trip, due to a major medical emergency of our father on the East Coast.
We were skeptical that Marriott would provide any relief or reimbursement for the days we could not stay.
We felt this way based on previous experiences with terrible costumer service even when we have been members for 15 years.
And unfortunately we were right, not sure what the appeal or benefits of being a member are when the Marriott in town is much much much nicer and have more accommodations.
