Rancho Mañana Resort

Peaceful, relaxing, excellent stay

This is the first time we have stayed at this resort and hopefully won’t be our last. The location is north of Phoenix, and it is so much quieter than Phoenix. The scenery is beautiful and it was so peaceful and quiet.

The casita we had (number 29) was in a quiet corner, with a sunny patio from which we could view the beautiful Arizona sunsets. The casita was very clean and well equipped with washing machine and dryer, two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom with a walk-in shower. One bathroom also had a huge tub. The decor is not to everyones taste, but I personally loved all the colourful pottery and the sinks in the bathrooms. A change from clinical rooms in some hotels!

Check-in was speedy and very friendly by Petra, who was also only too happy to help over the phone with a couple of queries over how things worked etc. Our room was the furthest from the pool area and reception so the help over the phone saved a walk!! We had an issue with the cooling fan one day and an engineer was there within a couple of minutes to resolve it.

The pool area was very scenic, with plenty of loungers. There were also a couple of hot tubs. The place was very quiet, something which we really appreciated wanting to just relax.

The onsite restaurant Tonto’s Bar and Grill was very busy, but we took the precaution of reserving a table to eat there each night. (see separate review)

The village of cave creek is worth a wander around, so close to Phoenix, yet in some ways so very far away!!

The resort is part of the Diamond Resort group. Definitely worth staying at Rancho mañana if you are in the area!!
