CLOCK TOWER, WHISTLER

Right in the heart of Whistler Village, small but cosy

The Clock Tower is right in the heart of Whistler Village about 50 feet from the gondolas, great for skiing, downhill biking and shopping. It is right on the village stroll and can be noise if your unit is facing the village stroll.

This hotel is run by Vacation Internationale and has only 15 units. If you are doing the timeshare exchange, you will be angered by having to pay US$112.15 for hotel taxes and parking for a week.

I have exchanged for numerous timeshare units everywhere including the Bear Lodge in Whistler village and have never had to pay for any hotel taxes or parking. Do not exchange for Clock Tower units if you think the fee is unfair to you as a timeshare owner.

There is one 15-minute parking spot right in front of the hotel to allow you to check in and unload your luggage.

This hotel does not have any elevators and if your unit is on the second floor, there are 5 short flights of stairs to climb, which can be a difficult task for some. The staff are very friendly and will assist you with your luggage.

Our unit was 211 and on the second floor. It is a small and cosy unit, very clean and modestly decorated. There is one bedroom with a full bed plus a loft with another full bed above the bedroom.

The mattresses and pillows are comfortable. The living area and the kitchen are both small but functional. Although there are 2 beds, 4 people will find the unit a bit crowded. It is more suitable for a couple.

The parking is underground right below the hotel. There are only 10 parking stalls for the 15 units so try to check in early to secure a spot. Once you have paid for the parking, the stall is assigned to you for the duration of your stay.

The kitchen is small with small size appliance but adequately equipped. The living room is bright with 2 huge skylights letting in lots of light. There are 3 air-conditioners/heat pumps in the unit that do a great job in heating and cooling the unit. The TVs are flatscreen but too small for viewing. There are plenty of stations to watch though.

WiFi is free but a bit slow. It is very reliable though with good signal. You can use the washers and dryers on the 1st floor for free between 4-8 p.m. when the hotel staff are not using them. The laundry room provides washing power, bleach and softener.

We did a lot of shopping of clothings at the shops along the village stroll and the Upper Village. We also did 2 walks to Lost Lake (3.5 Km) and to Green Lake (5.5 Km). We enjoyed our walks a lot.
