The most beautiful white sandy beach and aqua blue ocean
I choose the Westin Lagunamar for my vacation after reading many of the reviews.
The rooms were immaculate and nicely decorated. My room overlooked the ocean with a balcony and a small patio table with chairs. It was nice to watch the sunset and relax with a glass of wine. The room had plenty of closet space and drawers, a big flat-screen TV, plugin for music from your iPhone and a safe for valuables. The kitchenette had everything you could want or need to fix a little breakfast with coffee or a private dinner.
Room service is also available. The bed was firm, the pillows and the linens were very soft and comfortable. The sofa had a pull out bed. The room also had a washer and dryer.
The room had a big soaker tub with jets. The shower had a big shower head above with all the big plush towels, soap, shampoo and big soft robes along with all the little extras.
The outside property was meticulously maintained. Plenty of on-property restaurants and dinner events. I liked the Mayan review. There are barbecue grills on the property for grilling. The property had huge, super- clean swimming pools with an infinity pool. Plenty of big beach towels and a swim-up bar in the pool area. Happy hour starts at 3 PM for half price drinks.
They schedule different events and music through out the day, just for fun. They have a Spa for a massage and a work out room with weights and treadmills. I relaxed on a beach chair right next to the ocean. The best soft white sandy beach with aqua blue water.
The ocean had a white soft sandy bottom floor and you could walk out and have the waves crash into your body. They have a store on the property in case you need some little sundries or ice cream.
There is a supermarket three blocks away and they will deliver to the hotel. Also, you can order in advance from Costco and they will deliver to the hotel. I found that you really do not need a car in the hotel zone. I used USA Transfer to and from the airport. Super good service. The taxies are union and can be expensive in the hotel zone. The public buses are inexpensive and will get you around the hotel zone just as well. Nice, high-end shops are located across the street from the hotel if you like to shop. I recommend the Chichen Itza tour.
You will want the 6 AM pick up at your hotel as it is a full-day tour, three-hour drive there and three hours back. Some of the roads are bumpy so if you have a bad back, not recommended. Be sure to bring a rimmed hat, sun screen and water.
I want to be sure to mention the excellent service I received from the front desk and the concierge desk at the Lagunamar. Thank you, Javier, Ileana and Josue for your wonderful service! You made my vacation. Please be generous with tipping your waiters, waitress and room cleaners. Remember, 100 peso is $5 US dollar tip and 500 peso is a $25 US dollar tip and it means so much to them and their families! I hope my experiences will make your vacation to Westin Lagunamar a vacation to remember.

Awesome Group Vacation
This was our 7th trip to the Westin Lagunamar as owners. This year my husband and I brought 5 other guests and were treated like royalty. They all said it was one of the best vacation experiences they ever had. The rooms are never disappointing. Our concierge was very helpful and attentive, but not overbearing. The bar, pool and food service people were always available to meet our needs. The complex is lovely, clean, and ideal for a vacation. Love having the washer and dryer in our unit. We feel at home on our vacation away from home, but with amazing staff to take care of us. It is an amazing resort. Amenities are vast. We really enjoy the Sports Bar for casual dining, as well as the Market for meeting our needs for odds and ends. Both are reasonably priced. The location of the Westin is great for minimal walks to other restaurants and activities. We have never been disappointed with our stay and look forward to many more
Above and Beyond Again
My husband and I took some family and friends this time and we weren’t disappointed. Even though the Coronavirus continued to threaten activities and events back home, the staff at Westin continued to offer top-notch service! Jorge, Joaquin, Lennie Kravitz, EllieAna, Lomellie, all the front desk people!! What an awesome job all of you did to make our vacation stupendous even though you could see your guests dwindling as tourists were forced to cancel their week!! We truly appreciate how you make us feel when we visit and that’s why we always return to the Westin Lagunamar!!! Until next time- be well

The Westin Lagunamar is a family-friendly resort that is conveniently located across from nice restaurants and shopping. The staff is friendly and helpful… have chosen this as a vacation spot our last four trips
Westin lagunamar never disappoints!
We have been coming to Lagunamar for more than 10 years and are owners. The spa has recently really exceeded expectations & I would encourage the 80 minute treatments as they cost only a bit more. Sylvia gave an awesome therapeutic massage. Outdoor morning yoga with Marisel is not to be missed. There are other classes offered as well, but I haven’t been able to fit them in! Concierges are super helpful for booking local restaurants and golf and the bell staff always go beyond! A beautiful property!
Great Resort, Glad to be Owners
Staying at the Westin Lagunamar Villas made our first trip to Cancun care-free. Close to lots of restaurants and shopping, the grounds are beautiful, including the view from the ruins located within the property. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a first floor studio with a balcony facing the breach. Everyone at this resort is friendly and enthusiastically offers assistance with every request. Our room was immaculate, as were the grounds, everywhere.
