Owners of Tahiti Village timeshares often find themselves restricted in infinite contracts with rapidly increasing maintenance fees which ultimately stems from a mis-sold timeshare contract. Over recent years there have been a number of ground-breaking rulings regarding mis-sold timeshares by many timeshare groups and resorts which have resulted in refunds and compensation. Many owners of Tahiti Village timeshare contracts are entitled to or have already made claims.
A number of timeshare resort owners have exited their timeshare agreements for different reasons, some of them stating that they were concerned about high increases in fees including maintenance fees at the resorts, aggressive salespeople who badgered them at sales representations to buy timeshare, and selling to them contracts committing owners to paying fees “in perpetuity” which means that the agreement could be passed to their relatives once they die and their heirs be stuck with the obligation of paying annual timeshare fees. This is obviously not made clear to them at the sales meeting/presentation and major concern for all timeshare owners, especially the elderly.
Concerned Tahiti Village Owner
We have owned at Tahiti Village since before it was built. We have vacationed here every year since they opened except for 2017. Every year except this year has been a pleasure. This year has been a great disappointment.
There are no benefits to being an owner here except for a separate owner check-in line! When we checked into our unit we noticed the ice maker was not working. A call to maintenance and 2maintenance people arrived.
They used a hair dryer to defrost a frozen line and proclaimed issue solved. Next morning still no ice. Tried to take a shower but shower door wouldn’t open because shower door was misaligned. Called maintenance again reported ice maker still not working and we can’t use the shower. Maintenance person arrived and looked at both issues and told us he will be right back he needed some tools. An hour passed and maintenance did not return. We called again and explained we had an appointment and need the shower. Shortly thereafter a maintenance person returned and explained the delay was caused because they were short staffed. He proceeded to replace shower door hinge and worked on ice maker.
He proclaimed all issues have been corrected. We returned that evening still no ice. We called maintenance a third time. Maintenance returns and puts in a new ice maker. Next day still no ice. At this point we realize we just will have keep making trips to the ice maker .
Upon trying to use the dishwasher we discover inches of water at the bottom of the washer and if you pull the top shelf out too far the dishwasher tilts forward since it is not secured to the cabinet and water splashes on the floor. Wiping up the water revealed a filthy kitchen floor.
We called maintenance but this time no maintenance person showed up. We also discovered you have to take pool towels back and forth from your unit to the pool. The lifeguard told us they no longer dispense pool towels at the pool because people steal them. Although there are signs clearly stating no outside food or drink, guests are wheeling coolers full of adult beverages into the pool and lazy river.
Guests were blasting boom boxes and other divides with no consideration for others and no intervention by lifeguards or security. As an owner I am deeply troubled.
Tahiti Village is clearly no longer a gold crown resort. I wonder what our yearly maintenance fees are being spent on?

Could not be more disappointed!
Where to start…..as you can see by my other reviews I am not the type to give a 1 star rating but Tahiti Village could not deserve it more, I wish I could rate them as a zero. FYI we are still at the resort until Tuesday.
Little did we know being from Minnesota that Utah had spring break last week so when we checked in on Thursday the resort was completely full of kids, not Tahiti villages fault. For 3 days in a row there were no seats at the pool unless you woke up at 8 and put a towel on a chair. Frustrating because this is the resorts selling card, come to Vegas and spend the day at the pool and party at night.
Terrible experience checking in, we got to the resort early and were told our room was “almost” ready, just needed final check on cleaning. 3 hours later and still no room, no chairs at the pool and our key didn’t work to get into any area. Fun!
Last night decided to get tickets to the Beatles Circus de Sole(sp?) show thru the resort. Tickets were about half price if we sat threw 30 min timeshare presentation the next day. Not my deal but ok, cheap tickets. Women booking told us 3 separate time, best tickets in the house, 2nd row in the balcony, never had a complaint! We get to the Mirage to turn in our vouchers and guess what…….last row in the 3rd balcony, the worst seats in the house. I upgraded to the seats I should have had from the resort for $60 and when I asked the resort about it today it was “well that’s not where we were told the seats were” and there was nothing they could do about it.
This was a completely deceptive sales tactic to get us to sit through there timeshare pitch.
Today was the topper! Went down to the strip all day and came back around 3 to find empty chairs and most of the kids gone at the pool. Got a chair and sat in the pool for about 30 min only to have the lifeguard tell us they were short staffed and were closing half the pool so we would need to move to one corner of the pool where there were no chairs and all the kids!
I can not begin to describe in this post how completely disappointed we are with Tahiti Village. Everyone has issues on vacation but the staff and management do not care here, they just seem to want to sell timeshares. I will NEVER be back nor would I ever recommend this resort.
Stay on the strip if you come to Vegas, good deals and no lies like this timeshare. Been all over the world, been to numerous timeshares but this is hands down the worst experience ever.
To the person responding to this post from Tahiti Village if you have one….there was no misunderstanding at check in, about the pool or about the show tix…..you screwed up.

Terrible Service at Tahiti Village in Las Vegas
We had previously visited Tahiti Village in Las Vegas and were pleased. We returned October 15th, leaving on the 21st. Based on what happened during our visit and later, I would recommend that you stay away.
On October 16th we had requested assistance with our coffee maker, which took an hour and a half before help appeared. By then, the problem was resolved without their asssistance. The next day, I was awakened at 11:15 PM by a telephone call informing me that there was a new coffee maker. By the time I got to the door, no one there. Who calls a guest 45 minutes before midnight? As well, we left our suite for shopping at 10:30 AM and returned in the evening at after 8:00 PM. Housekeeping had not locked our door. Tahiti Village provided us with an in-facility amount for their thoughtless.
Unfortunately, I forgot my newly purchased wallet in the room when we returned to our hometown. I called Tahiti Village and their staff had brought it to the lost and found. I would have appreciated a call to my home leaving a message that they found the item. Well that didn’t happen.
I was informed that they would charge me $53 USD to return it to Canada. I requested that they mail it back but they said it was their policy that they couldn’t use the U.S.P.S. The U.S.P.S. has Priority Mail fixed rate packages would have accommodated the wallet inside the smallest package and ship anywhere in the U.S.A for $7.00 U.S. Canadian addresses, same package, $25.95 U.S. Tahiti Village sent me a link to ChargerBackLostFound which I paid $21.39 USD for it to be shipped to my wife;s sister in California.
For all that transpired at Tahiti Village, I can only conclude they delivered terrible service this time.
Not a Business Friendly Resort
My company booked a room for our employee back in September to stay at the Tahiti Village hotel for 2 nights in October. We paid in advance and put our credit card on file so that my employee would not have to worry upon check-in. My employee arrived at the hotel and was told that she would have to pay for the room because she did not have the credit card the hotel was booked on.
I called the hotel to see what could be done because my employee should not have to pay for the room. The operator and the front desk manager refused to allow me to pay for the room. They stated that I would have to drive all the way from California to show my ID and company credit card in order to pay for it (it should be noted I am the business manager and I am also 6 months pregnant with a very high-risk pregnancy so this request is completely unrealistic).
I offered to sign and fax paperwork (a standard practice at COUNTLESS hotels) and they refused. I double checked my confirmation, and nowhere on the confirmation email does it state the card would have to be present at check-in. I understand that they would need to confirm the card at check in as that is a pretty normal procedure BUT for business reservations, there is also normally a policy that offers some type of credit card authorization form which the manager of the hotel stated they don’t have.
The manager then implied that I should just reimburse the employee later, inferring that it’s acceptable to wrongly charge an employee for a reservation that based on our confirmation we had every reason to believe had been paid for a month ago!
I offered to give the credit card over the phone or send pictures of my id and card via fax or email right now but again, I was told it’s not possible.
I am deeply disappointed that this hotel does not understand that businesses book reservations for their employees and the employees should not be charged simply because the hotels’ policies are not clearly stated in the confirmation. I’ve read our booking confirmation over and over and nowhere on the confirmation does it state any of this.
If you are looking to book a room for an employee, do not use this hotel. They are not business reservation friendly.
A place for families with children under 10. Not for adults, couples, seniors, solo travelers
ROOM: This is a time share property not a hotel. Room clean 1xweek. 1 roll of toilet paper, 1/4 box tissues, 1/2 roll paper towels. When things are not replenished you realize you need to go to the store.
PARKING: Free parking garage a fair distance from room. Prepare to hike.
ADULT SPA: False advertising. Sign states no one under age of 18. Ha! I called concierge to ask for children to be asked to leave. Concierge said yes. Sebastian L, night manager called room to say this would not be done because family spa broken. Next day, family spa working and full of children. Returned in evening to adult spa to find 4 yr. old with mom on phone and 5 yr. old twin boys wrestling on stairs with mom on lounge chair. Went to talk with Sebastian L and told broken glass in family pool, “children had to have fun” not adults and he disagreed with request to not have children in adult spa. General manager Tom Hadjis cited as in full agreement. I asked for call from Mr. Hadjis. Not received. Pattern entire week of family spa open in day, closed late afternoon. Other adults verbalizing same complaints. We left adult spa when children started to arrive next evening. Fully bailed following evening when 10 children under direction of 12-13 yr. old arrived. Last evening we no longer wanted the aggravation. When returned home, message on VM from manager logged in Tuesday stating problem fixed. Guess he also had a problem using the room telephone that was booked to us until Friday. Obviously, customer service is not a priority at Tahiti.
LAZY RIVER: False advertising, Early closing 5 PM. We arrived at 3 to be stopped and asked to leave – closed due to light rain. No lightning, no thunder, just grey and drizzly. Lifeguards stated they did not want to get wet.
SHUTTLE: to Mirage and Tropicana which work ok until busy. Be prepared to wait through a few buses until seats are available. You do not mind waiting an hour or so, do you?
CONCIERGE DESK: Not for information. Timeshare sales pitch starts right away.
CONCLUSION: This is a time share selling business not a vacation accommodation. I would not recommend the Tahiti Village. Sebastian L said it best: “the children need to have fun”. With this motto, the adults will not. Why anyone would want to buy a timeshare at this place is beyond me.
