Let Mercantile Claims assist you with Timeshare Release
Owners of Regency Country Club timeshares often find themselves trapped in endless contracts with rapidly increasing maintenance fees which ultimately stems from a mis-sold timeshare contract. Over recent years there have been a number of ground-breaking rulings regarding mis-sold timeshares by many timeshare groups and resorts which have resulted in refunds and compensation.
Many owners of Regency Country Club timeshare contracts are entitled to, or have already made claims. Some resort owners have said that reaosns for wanting to get rid of their timeshare agreements stem from high increases in fees including resort maintenance fees, aggressive fee collection procedures enforced by the timeshare scheme and timeshare sales people tying the consumer into contracts “in perpetuity”
Relaxing in The Sun
We spent a week at the Regency Country Club in May 2019.
The weather for the week was good and the last 5 days was very good.
The resort is now reasonably well established although a large part of the accommodation apartments has still to be completed. There is a very nice restaurant, an excellent pool and a crazy golf course which is not too bad.
The gym is large enough but some of the equipment needs to be updated and the gym would benefit from a better layout.
The apartments are a reasonable size without being spacious and the furniture has been updated with some rather cheap replacements which will not stand the robust use of a hotel.
The equipment in the kitchen is now very old and there is a need for updating. Additionally, there is a need to provide basic utensils such as a fish slice, a basic tool to remove and fried food from a pan. This is not provide and having pursued the request with the management, I was told it was policy NOT TO PROVIDE a fish slice.
The cork screw did not work and they were unable to replace it. The kitchen sink did not have a stopper but they did provide one eventually. This could be a very nice place with some effort but it would appear that the company is allowing the standards to drift and lowering the standard deliberately but not the price of staying.

not quite the high class service you would expect
I stayed with friends, this was my second time at the Regency. my first visit being the year be4 and was excellent. the appartment was lovely.
The staff however were unbelivebly rude the whole week we were there.
Two silver braclets were stolen from the rooms while we were out.
The receptionist implied it was are own fault, but promised to retrieve them and send them to us in england as we were flying home early the next morning.
We never recieved the braclets or even heard from the Regency agian.
Not impressed wouldnt go back
Also, there is a very ugly hospital being built slap bang in the middle of the ‘sea view’ and this also means the infinity pool no longer goes on for infinity. pretty hotel, horrible views
Good family area, apartments lacking.
The Regency Country Club is a good option for families with children. Wonderful pool area, mini-golf and a kid club for 2 hours 5 days a week.
The apartments are not to the standard of the hotel. Cheap and old furniture, small televisions, terrible WiFi and no coffee or tea. They are very clean though.
We had a two floor apartment, and the WiFi could only be used in the room where the router is.
We booked with included breakfast, the buffet was good but I would have liked to have the option of having a cup of coffee before I left the room. I have never been to a hotel without that option before.
The hotel is isolated, there is a bus to go downtown but it stops running at 18:00. So you need to take a taxi where ever you need to go.
They use the isolation of the hotel to their advantage and sell the most expensive beer in Spain. 4 euros for a small beer at the pool bar!
All in all a nice stay.
If you don’t mind bad WiFi, no coffee in the morning and expensive beer.
Good, but could be SO much better
Just back from a one week stay at the Regency Country Club.
It’s a good hotel in a peaceful location with lovely facilities and spacious, comfortable rooms. However this time we felt throughout our stay that something was missing. All the elements are there for this to be a fantastic hotel but it doesn’t quite get there.
From the slow service in the restaurant bar (not the pool bar – that was great) to the strange manner of the restaurant manager who seemed to lack any basic training in customer service skills, we left feeling a bit frustrated.
We’ve stayed here before a year ago and may come back again as overall we had a good holiday. Just a shame that customer service in the restaurant doesn’t live up to the high standard of the rest of the hotel.
The kids club staff, pool bar staff and cleaners are all fantastic!
Eaten by mosquitos!!! What a shame! Do not come here!
We stayed at Regency for 10 days, me my wife And a baby of 6 months old.
The last night we spent in the room, we realized that our room was full of mosquitos ( very big )
They started picking us and when we called reception At 4,00 am the poor receptionist only told us “if you want i can give you an isecticide machine”
So we could not sleeping All night long.
The day after i went to complain to reception and they did not give me any money back so i payed 130€ anight To not sleep but to fight with 30/40 mosquitos!
The mng ( not working on saturday ) should be ashamed about it.
I’m wtiting even to higienic Office of Tenerife island, and calling a loyer to denounce this hard injustice, that is very dangerous for care of visitors and children!
In The room we counted about 22 mosquitos in the room ( a colony )
Who left the window out?
Who let them get in?
Not us we closed the window and we left all day long.
So thank you to offer our blood to mosquitos, thank you for not makeing us sleeping thank you for getting money for beeing a wake all night long!
Rather expensive for what is offered
Located approx. 20 minutes from the Reina Sofia (South) airport (by car) in Arona. A place which is more or less only consisting of apartment buildings for the ones looking for a sunny holiday on the south-west side on the Island. No old village heart, nothing to experience in the surroundings, however a shuttle bus is offered to the beach of Los Cristianos.
You come to Regency Country Club for sun and the swimming pool (and for the ones appreciating a small, free midget golf circuit on side). Old fashion, run down gym. Some of the machines were about to fall apart. Nice welcome with a glass of bubbles and a professional check in.
The approx. 70 apartments are situated on different levels (not always easy to find your way and due to the many stairs not recommendable for people with walking disabilities) around the two (heated) swimming pools.
A huge one and a smaller children pool. Everything is in ‘Bali’ style but the public is quite mixed. Many Russian speaking guests. Breakfast is 12 euro pp. The apartments are of a good size, decorated in a classic style. Kitchen with oven, micro, big fridge/freezer, very good kitchen utilities (no dishwasher). Living area with sofa (if needed to be transferred in a double bed), TV, CD, four poster steel bed with comfortable mattresses, bathroom with toilet, bidet, bath with Jacuzzi. Balcony with a wooden table/chairs and two different areas with sun beds.
Restaurant on side.
We paid more than 150 euro per night (without breakfast) and were not pleased that WIFI is only available in public place (not in the apartments). This is something you do not expect in this price category…..
