Many owners of Parque Mourabel Oasis Village timeshare contracts are entitled to, or have already made claims.
poor
Having just stayed in the Parque Mourabel Apartments for one week, I must say I was very disappointed with the shabby apartment that we had. The Tv never worked at all, the phone did not work either. The bed linen was only changed once in that week. We had to ask for clean towels. The Kitchen tap was almost falling off. and the apartment was not cleaned at all, while we were there.
The Dining room was very basic, but the food was very very poor, and a very limited variety at Breakfast, the bacon was scarce and always overcooked. evening Dinner was also poor, and the best thing about that was the Soup.
Just very disappointed, and certainly would not go back again.

Guest & Owners Reviews
Lovely hotel
The Parque Mourabel is a lovely holiday in a nice area on the outside of Vilamoura. The Superior apartments are well worth the upgrade. The pool and gardens are very pleasant to lounge around in the sun, next to the café/bar. The food, however, is a letdown. The same breakfast appeared on all 7 mornings and the set evening meal is also on a rotation. The a-la-carte lunch menu is great and catered for me. I chose from the full a-la-carte menu on occasion. There is a great Indian restaurant in Lago Azul which we did make use of!
Holiday
Just returned from Parque Mourabel complex after a 5 night break. We had a standard apartment in Oasis Village. The apartment was basic but had everything you would need. Room was cleaned 3 times in 5 days. We stayed half board and the meals were very nice, was always something on the menu for all of us and I’m quite a fussy eater! Staff very helpful. The shuttle bus runs down to the marina or a pleasant 20 minute walk. Would most definitely return back. Excellent value for money.
Winter sun and relaxation
I am a returning winter visitor to Parque Mourabel. I find the hotel near Vilamoura an oasis of calm and peace. Great experience when dealing with the friendly and extremely efficient staff
From reception to bedrooms to dining and free shuttle l have never yet found any fault whatsoever. Location is perfect, a very pleasant 25 minute walk to Vilamoura or for those who don’t enjoy walking there is a free shuttle 3 times daily.
Fantastic hotel staff they are so friendly and helpful breakfast had everything you could ask for food was 100 per cent and very reasonably priced.
Rooms are cleaned 6 days a week and both rooms and public areas are always spotless. The hotel is constantly upgrading the accommodation and public areas
The gardens and pool areas are maintained daily and a credit to the staff. I travelled north to Porto during my stay and suffered 2 breaks in my foot.
When I returned to Mourabel I was looked after so well, everybody went out of their way to help me.
A wheelchair was supplied by the reception and a mobility scooter was arranged for me while I was in plaster.
I could even go to the marina daily as my mobility scooter was folded and stowed on the shuttle and Sandro, the driver made sure that I was safely on board.
All areas of the hotel were fully accessible in the wheelchair or scooter.
The apartment was so spacious that I could drive into the bedroom and bathroom. I have no hesitation recommending Parque Mourabel to anybody with mobility problems.
I cannot say enough about the staff. Each and every one is happy, friendly and do their utmost to help.
We had a very enjoyable stay
This was the 5th time we go back to Parque Mourabel and is like coming home. Very welcoming staff. Apartments very clean and comfortable. This time we did and upgrade to a Superior one bedroom Apartment and definitely worth the small difference we paid. We would definitely highly recommend the upgrade to Superior.
Value for money for a 3 star hotel
We spent twelve nights (19th September-1st October) in the Pedo Lago apartments. Jorge on Reception was particularly friendly and helpful in general, and our wait for our room to be ready was not overly long, allowing us time to have lunch and explore. (It should be borne in mind that the check-out time at the hotel is 12 noon so the maid service requires time to clean the apartment from the previous occupants.)
We were self-catering in a superior room, which was extremely clean, well equipped and with a pool view.
The maid service was very good, with towels changed every two days and sheets changed once a week.
The on-site supermarket was very well stocked and good value compared to the Spar 10 minutes walk away. The Indian restaurant nearby was excellent.
The hotel bar and restaurant served up a great variety of well cooked food, and the staff were always friendly. There is a restaurant, A Capra, ten minutes walk from the apartments which was fantastic!
The walk to Vilamoura Marina, along a beautiful tree-lined walkway, took around thirty minutes.
Wifi needs to be extended to more apartments and more shade at the pool areas would be good – these are my only suggestions for improvement.
Our holiday was quiet and restful which was what we were looking for, and we would certainly stay at Parque Mourabel again.
Vilamoura is a fab resort...
Unfortunately, the Parque Mourabel Apartments are dated & shabby. Having stayed a week in a Pé-Do-Lago superior apartment which includes a safe & air-con. I shudder to think what a standard room is like. The free WiFi is only available in reception, (not reliable) password is changed every 3 days.
The bedroom had 2 beds & a double wardrobe. Small bathroom with shower over the bath, shower curtain was a tad shabby. Well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. Small patio with table and chairs.
Television has only 3 English channels one being sky news so don’t expect too much especially if you have children. Free courtesy minibus to the marina every day at 9am & 11am from outside reception. Or if you prefer it’s a lovely 30 minute walk to and from the beach & marina. Sunlounges and umbrella can be hired for €11euros per half day or €16.40 for a full day at the beach. Beware of the “Looky” men who can be persistent & annoying with their fake bags and purses.
The PR lady – Fiona at reception needs to smile more, not a very good advert for public relations proper miserable…
If you want a quiet, cheap, basic holiday with the odd bawdy stag do throw in then this is for you. Little shop tucked away behind the Indian restaurant stocks all the essentials, not as big as the Spa supermarket 5 minutes down the road but just as good.
Wonderful holiday!
Just got back from an 11 night holiday/honeymoon at Parque Mourabel. Stayed in the Pe Do Lago apartments and we had a fantastic time. The apartment was lovely – clean, spacious and stocked with everything you need such as pots, pans and cutlery; the staff at the snack bar near the apartment were friendly and welcoming; the pool area was beautiful and all the hotel staff (especially the public relations lady Fiona) were helpful and friendly. Wonderful value for money and myself and my husband have fallen in love with Portugal. We would definitely come here again. I would highly recommend Parque Mourabel. It’s a wonderfully good value holiday for couples and families alike. Personally, if I could give this hotel a 10 star rating I would.
So-So
I stayed on the 10th August Self Catering for 10 day, myself and my 2 daughter’s age 14 & 10.
On arrival we learned that I was on 2nd floor of the self catering complex which had no lifts, I am disabled and I book disabled everywhere I go and I send a email to Hotel personal but they denied receiving my Email.
Because of time of night the male night staff carried my bags up and told me to come back next day. Blonde staff in morning told me no rooms available, had no intentions of helping me!! I explained that the stairs could send me to hospital but nothing. At this time two unhappy ladies trying to check in but was told to come back hours later! Guess what room they got ground floor… I spoke to these lovely ladies and they were baffled to way they didn’t switch our rooms round, I’d been there 12hrs!!
So 2nd official day I was offered new apartment and help to move! Fonia arrived and I asked if someone was coming to help her response was “we don’t have a concierge service here” shocked I told her she was rude and she 5ft nothing helped with bags, thanks.
So finally I can unpack and chill goes the pool with my girls with a lilo in hand to be stopped at the pool by “the pool security” no kilos what the hell..
I did speak to him and his response was A baby could be hurt, so I said build a baby pool then.
He said Elderly people can be hurt too, I laughed and said you have no music, no entertainment, no holiday reps what are kids to do all day in pool, also I’d never been anywhere were lilos are banned and he said I should learn too adapt haha, I well a did and we knew your day off and we’d run back get our lilos and pool toys and no one was hurt, so maybe you’s need to Adapt. There was two shows with animals/reptiles and force you to take BUY ONLY pics which I wouldn’t mind of a night when family done up nice and not her wet, no make up, sweaty. Time and a place and by the lack of night entertainment this might be better idea.
Elvis impersonator on karaoke is not the best entertainment.
I always go all inclusive but I’m so glad I went self-catering this time round, two small table of food basically 1 tray for lettuce 1 tray for onions 1 tray for peppers 1 tray cucumbers 1 fish 1 meat oh No drinks included. I do have the buffet menu, not for may each to their Own!! I did have the in house menu food was nice and cheaper in price. There is a place over the road cafe/Indian/ pizza take out was nice food.
And there is a few restaurants down the road which is connected to the cactus bar which is good to watch football game kids can play pool table and few other arcades, really needs doing up abit but it would have to do.
Marina is 40mintues walk not for me, its a long walk and can get lost. I used taxi’s which were between 7 – 9 euros. Prices at the Marina are high but I did treat us to 1 night out there, is a beautiful area.
I did settle for what it was but I love to travel and this was 1st holiday I just couldn’t wait to get home.
The male staff in reception were lovely, all staff in bar/restaurant were lovely.
People I met out and about were so helpful.
Went to Aquashow park, enjoyed it but 1 and half hours queue for dingy then longer for ride, 5 slides all day, but I’d probably do it again for my girls.
I like quiet area but when your hotel entertainment is so dead I preferred to go back and watch Road Cops from the 1990s there is something wrong.
My 1st time to Portugal and I’m not saying I would never come back in future years but it will never be to Parque Mourabel. If staying in Vilamoura look for hotel closer to the beach/Marina.
I hired a disability scooter 10euros a day and drop off & pick up at your hotel, Villa our a Scooters great help.
There are trips out to markets and other trips from Marina, as I said very expensive, I am disappointed I didn’t do boat trip (always another time) and also market trip to Loure (daughter ear infection) but I’m not that downhearted because the whole holiday from start was a strain on me, and I couldn’t push myself anymore. me when I leave Spain me when I leave Parque Mourabel ✌✌ I hope you read these reviews and realize customers are what pays your bills, make us happy not desperate to leave and never come back!! Thanks
