Let Mercantile Claims assist you with Timeshare Release, Claims & Compensation
Owners of Panorama Mountain Village timeshares often find themselves confined in infinite contracts with rapidly increasing timeshare maintenance fees which ultimately stems from a mis-sold timeshare contract. Over recent years there have been a number of ground-breaking timeshare law changes & rulings regarding mis-sold timeshares by many timeshare groups and resorts which have resulted in refunds and compensation. Many owners of Panorama Mountain Resort timeshare contracts are entitled to, or have already made claims citing the main reason for their timeshare cancellation was because of the high costs of resort fees, mis-selling and huge pressure sales techniques and also the liability to contracts in perpetuity.
Dont be fooled by the photos!!
We stayed in the summit building earlier this week for 4 days.
The place is in complete disrepair! Filthy carpets, both the sheets and the comforters were ripped, chunks of the blinds were falling on our heads, mirrored closet door coming off the hinges, fridge turned everything to ice, metal brackets coming through the fold out bed……what a dump!
Went down to use the hot tub next to our building and it was ice cold and overflowing.
One of the main pools was closed down another day for “unscheduled maintenance”.
Management is clearly trying to squeeze every dime out of the place to the detriment of their clients…….Dont be fooled by the photos!!

Disappointed
We arrived at Invermere around 1pm and called Panorama resort to ask for their early check in. The front desk said the room is now being cleaned but can give us access to the pool while waiting. Thought that was awesome! We were able to go swimming. Then they said they would call when the room was ready but I ended up calling the front desk to check and that’s when I was told yes it is.
So we got to the room, and it is completely not what we expected. The photos of the room on Expedia when we booked is not what the room we got. The photos shows a different kitchen, a different living room, a different separate bedroom and this one had no balcony.
So I called the front desk and asked about the different types of room. From outside it looks like the Ski Tip Lodge all had a balcony except for the room we got. I was told that to upgrade for the room that has a balcony and the separate bedroom will cost us extra $40/night. I was also told that booking through Expedia does shows different photos and doesn’t guarantee the room you will get and that I should have called the Panorama booking reservation directly.
This is not our first time using Expedia and we have travelled many many times and have never gotten a completely different room as what we have reserved online. So what is the point of being able to use Expedia for reservation for Panorama Mountain Resort when I am now being told to book directly? The whole experience so far has been very disappointing! Front desk did not even empathize and and did not seem apologetic at all.
I haven’t even mentioned the condition of the room. The ledge on top of the fire place was completely dusty. There were no dishwasher soap to wash dishes. There were stain in the pull out bedroom. There were stains in the carpet.
Also we were told all their rooms does not have AC so we had to request an extra fan. It is extremely hot in the room!
Also calling from our room to ask if there’s an ice cream place anywhere in the village, we were on hold for almost 25 minutes. Finally, I dialled out from my own cell phone and got a hold of them in a shorter time.
Very very disappointed so far and this is only our first night……
Ski Tip Lodge
Panorama Mountain is a very nice mountain.
However the Ski Tip Lodge was very disappointing. Great location and true ski in/ski out right at the base of the mountain. Underground parking is also a plus.
We had a one bedroom with a king bed booked for the week.
King bed is very misleading. It was two twin beds pushed together.
Therefore there was a gap between the beds, in which they tried to hide with king sheets. Very disappointing.
Very small closer and no dressers to store any clothes.
Had to live out of your suit case.
No toiletries provided, shampoo, conditioner. hand lotion etc.
If not for the location would have checked out and stayed somewhere else.
Not a good place to stay
I travel for business monthly, sometimes several times a month, and this has to be one of the biggest disappointments in all my travels.
First the room was old and very dated. The room was not very clean, carpets not vacuumed, clothing left hanging on back of bathroom door. Not once during a 3 night stay did housekeeping EVER come by to take trash away, offer fresh towels or anything. I never even saw housekeeping anywhere.
The room itself was a joke, no hairdryer, no iron, no microwave, no refrigerator. Bonus it did have a coffee pot lol.
If I am ever in this region again I will definitely find a better place to stay, there is always other choices.
Good skiing terrain but the resort doesn’t provide good value
Panorama has a good skiing terrain with lots of variety to match different skier levels. It also has beautiful trails for cross country skiing. The chairlifts are well organized with fairly quick moving line-up and the ski instructors for my children were great.
I stayed in a one-bedroom apartment at Panorama Spring Lodge in the upper village for 7 nights during the 2016 Christmas vacation. I have made the reservation in early August during an early booking offer with 40% discount.
During reservation, I made a request to have a mountain view room because the price I paid was for a mountain view room. I also asked about when I could place a reservation for Christmas dinner and skiing lesson for my children.
The agent told me that she couldn’t guarantee which room I would be in, which I felt it was a strange answer but I was naïve and thought that since I have booked early then it should be no problem to get a room that I wanted. Also, since it was early, I could not reserve Christmas dinner and skiing lesson. She advised me that I should receive communication when they are ready to take reservation, which I never received.
Two weeks prior to arrival, I contacted Panorama to make the reservation and I found out that that the Christmas dinner was fully booked and most of skiing lessons for children were full. I finally had to book the more expensive private lessons for my children and had to go to Fairmont resort for Christmas Dinner.
The worst is the accommodation. I and my family were placed in room 108. It was a first floor room on the corner of the building with no view but street to two garages. The room had the feel that we were in the basement, the TV remote wasn’t working, the room was dark even when all lights are on, old carpet and furniture. During our stay, we were almost the only family in that floor. Although the balconies above us were mostly empty which suggest that the rooms were empty, we didn’t get those rooms in the upper floor either. Panorama resort should state honestly when it attracts guest with early booking discount that if a guest book a room with discount, he/she/they would get a room that nobody wants. Why not priced the room differently? so the guest has better expectation. I see no need for such a supposedly luxury resort to be so dishonest.
If you really have to stay in Panorama mountain resort, I would suggest that you get confirmation on the room location that you want. Otherwise, I find that Fernie alpine resort provides better value for my money. Fernie has newer accommodation and the staffs were at least honest with me. I knew what to expect.
Increased Condo Price After Room was Booked
I booked a condo for me and my friends for 5 nights through one of Panorama’s third party agencies. The price ended up being $1975.28. Three days later they sent me an e-mail saying that they aren’t going to honour my booking but instead sent me a quote for $3038.88. They increased the price of the room by $1063.60 after I booked it! I’ve uploaded both the booking confirmation and the quote.
I still can’t believe this actually happened. I still can’t believe Panorama can get away with something so absurd. They said the reason they increased the price was because they weren’t offering that promotion anymore when it clearly says on my booking confirmation that the promotion was available until November 1st. I booked the room on October 12th.
And why would they contact me three days later about this and not the day of? I called and e-mailed the third party company and Panorama directly several times to speak to a manager and despite both places saying that one will get back to me soon, no one ever got back to me.
I spoke with my friend who is a travel agent about this issue and she said there is no way Panorama should be able to get away with doing something so outrageous and that they must honour the original booking.
I told one of Panorama’s booking agents over the phone about what my friend said and the lady told me to go book through her if I think I can get a better deal.
I’ve never heard of anyone ever having to go through something more ridiculous than this experience in my entire life. This whole event angers and baffles me to no end. I do not recommend anyone ever booking anything with Panorama.
Their lack of customer service and professionalism through this whole ordeal shows that they do not care about their customers whatsoever, only their bottom line.
