Owners of Ona Cala Pi Club timeshares often find themselves trapped in infinite contracts with rapidly increasing maintenance fees which ultimately stems from a mis-sold timeshare contract. Over recent years there have been a number of ground-breaking rulings regarding mis-sold timeshares by many timeshare groups and resorts which have resulted in refunds and compensation. Many owners of Ona Cala Pi Club timeshare contracts are entitled to, or have already made claims. Some of the owners looking to cancel their timeshare agreements cites the following reasons for wanting their timeshare relinquishment.
Gone way, way downhill
We are so-called “owners” of an apartment here and have been coming almost without fail for 14 years (since the kids were quite small)
We arrived early at 1pm and were hoping our apartment was ready. Unfortunately it wasn’t cleaned until 4.45pm so we had a bit of a wait. Not really a problem and Elena on reception was lovely, as usual.
First glance over our place and we realised it wasn’t clean. The bathroom had been wiped with a dirty mop which left a sour smell. There are numerous blood stains on the walls and ceilings where someone has been killing bugs and there was a dried-in puddle of blood on the floor.
We found cockroaches on our floor on both day 1 & day 2.
The cleaning rota has been changed to twice a week instead of every day.
On to the rest of the resort. The bar at the poolside has had the prices hiked to the extent that NO ONE was using it! (€4.00 for a half pint of beer and €3.50 for a packet of crisps) The staff were even walking round trying to drum up business but there were few takers.
Down at the main bar the drinks were even more expensive (€8.50 for the worst gin & tonic imaginable and undrinkable cocktails)
The place appears out of control with people swimming in the pools at midnight unchecked, and kids playing air hockey loudly at night.
Parking has always been difficult here but this year we found it almost impossible to park close to the resort.
Cala Pi is a beautiful spot but I suggest you think long and hard before handing your hard earned cash to Ona Group.

Cheap, cheerful and ideal
Visited Mallorca for my brother in laws stag do. Ona Cala Pi was cheap and affordable for the entire group (7 guys in total). We arrived quite late in the evening only to be told that the extra bed we asked for would not be available until the next day because there was no one available to carry the bed to the apartment. We offered to help although this should have been arranged well in advance, given that we clearly emailed and told them that we would require an additional bed due to the number of people who will be staying in the apartment. Nevertheless, we made do with what we had as we were all shattered from a long sleepless previous night and highly turbulent flight.
First impressions were that the place is a tad tired and could do with some updating. Our apartment was generally well-appointed and had two bedrooms with double/twin bed and the extra bed along with the sofa bed serviced a further three lads. There was a nice roof terrace along with two balconies overlooking the beach and the pools below.
The pools aren’t massive (two in total) but serve their purpose. I can imagine that it would be quite busy during the peak season. We were there during August. The local beach is nice but quite crowded. The locals are friendly and the restaurants and on-site shop were affordable and well equipped. The part of the hotel we stayed in had a tiny lift which is shut after 22:00 and won’t move up or down, not ideal for people arriving late night but good when you have a room on the 3rd floor as we did.
Overall, Ona Cala Pi gets 3 out of 5 as I can’t score 2.5. It is cheap and cheerful and perfect for someone looking for an “okay” place with a beach and pools on a budget.
Not what expected
My friend and I had a week in Ona Cala Pi in September 2018. The club itself is very clean.
There are 2 good pools and plenty of sun beds with shades, however, It was out of season.
The apartment we had was very tired, the bath looked ancient although the shower was good. We were left 2 very small bottles of shower jell and shampoo and a tiny square of soap.
On the upside there were lots of towels and the apartment was cleaned twice whilst we were there.
There were quite a few annoying little things like having to pay 20eu for WiFi. The restaurant which we tried twice was questionable. We ordered chips which were actually stone cold and we tried the breakfast on one occasion and, once again, the cooked food was cold, certainly not worth the 12eu.
The pool bar seemed to open, or not, when they wanted and don’t expect there to be a beach bar, sun beds and shades at the beach, which looks amazing from the top of the steps but was actually quite dirty.
Okay
I stayed at Ona Cala Pi with 5 friends in a two bedroom apartment, if you are looking for a cheap place to stay in a nice location it is great.
The hotel is right by a breathtaking cove. You definitely need to rent a car though, as we spent 100 euros just to get to Palma and back.
Two friends had to sleep on a sofa bed which was more of a cot.
You must pay to have your room cleaned and to get extra towels. It is not the most glamorous or clean but okay for a cheap vacation with friends.
If you want a clean, nice hotel this one is not very updated but it is very spacious with a balcony. The pool and hotel outside areas are nice.
Dated but great service
Hubby and I came here on holiday on our own for the first time in 20 years, leaving teenagers at home.
Complex is quite dated although apartments are clean and well planned, we were spoiled with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom each as well as a private laundry room area to dry our washing and rinse out sandy clothes. 2 good size pools with plenty of sunbeds, water perfect temperature and pool bar provides good selection of drinks and snacks .
The staff in this place are what makes it so friendly – entertainment team for children and aqua aerobics every day for energetic people. The reception staff are so lovely, booking tables for us at local restaurants and answering any questions with a smile or a joke, 5 stars for them!
Cala Pi is tiny but perfect for us, some fabulous Spanish restaurants who welcome visitors happily.
Very dated
Expensive for what it is but most of the staff were friendly.
Love Mallorca the island is lovely and will go again but not to Ona Cala Pi.
It’s old and we didn’t get any sun in the apartment
Terrible
Cala pi is not a great area it has a small beach you have to climb down to no sun beds available
Nothing to do around the area it’s in a cliff so just houses rubble and stray cats
Do not book here if you want a relaxing time food is cold and awful we shopped at local store even though we booked half board we tried a pork escalope it was just flubber.
Staff are very rude and unfriendly
