Let Mercantile Claims assist you with Timeshare Release
Owners of Muthu Clube Praia da Oura timeshares often find themselves confined in infinite contracts with rapidly increasing maintenance fees which ultimately stems from a mis-sold timeshare contract. Over recent years there have been a number of ground-breaking rulings regarding mis-sold timeshares by many timeshare groups and resorts which have resulted in refunds and compensation. Many owners of Clube Praia da Oura timeshare contracts are entitled to, or have already made claims for contracts committing owners to paying fees for timeshare in perpetuity”
extremely bad customer service
Bad Points –Took them 3 hours to check us in because they mistakenly cancelled our booking, the hotel reception staff were extremely rude, one of which completely blanked me whilst trying to get his attention offered no apology for inconveniencing us.
Some of the reception staff have little to no ability/language skills to converse with English people and made it hard to get across our matters of discontent. We were forced to wear a tacky orange band to signify that you were a member of Clube Praia Da Oura like cattle or some sort of festival go-er. Wifi costs 7 euros a day which is extortionate but if you go to reception its free. A safe cost us 13 euro for 5 days which is pricey but also necessary because the trust was lost in the hotel from the off. The batteries run out in the door lock which meant that we had to have them replaced when we came back from our night out at 2 am just so that we could get in the apartment. The hotel keys access to our apartment ran out after the first night which meant we had to have another trip to reception for them to extend the validity. We were sold a deluxe terrace room with either a sea view or a pool view, the pictures I attached are of the view from our room from all angles, none of which offer those views. The pool is like a Portuguese chav fest, loads of loud music blaring out and dirty looks galore. The sunloungers have all been claimed by 9 am and members of other hotels come to the pool so it’s always jam-packed. Parasols aren’t secure either as one of them flew out of its holster and nearly hit another person who was sunbathing. Good points – Location leads onto Oura beach and they offer a free shuttle bus to old town.

Tired rooms and poor food
Stayed at the Muthu Club Praia da Oura with friends on an all-inclusive holiday in the sun. The location was great, next to the beach and close to both the new and old town (very good for restaurants). Unfortunately, the location is the only real positive I can give this hotel.
Checking in took over an hour due to payment across each shared room having to be paid in a way that meant the total couldn’t be shared equally. The receptionist made it hard work to get everyone checked in and into a room, complicating the process and mixing up paperwork. The light in reception above the desk flickered and gave more than one of our party a headache.
Rooms of 4, costing over €230 each were appalling with only a small double bed and sofa to share. The rooms were very tired and need some work. Drawings in pen on the wall seemed to show the fire exit, while sun loungers on the balcony were in bad condition. The shower was in particularly bad condition, with a trickle of water at best coming from the head while on. Not once were the rooms cleaned or dirty towels taken, maids only entered the room to offer new towels, leaving them on the side.
The pool was freezing cold and again the sun loungers weren’t up to much in the main areas of the pool. Jacuzzi was also freezing cold, not once did I see anyone using it in 4 days. Drinks at the bars were limited to two small plastic cups each, not letting groups collect drinks for others in the party. Having said that, the beer was one of the better alcoholic drinks I’ve had in a hotel. The gardens were nice and well maintained.
If you’ve read my review and would still like to stay at this hotel, make sure you don’t go all inclusive for the food! Food was terrible and only used once for dinner and breakfast in our 4 day stay. Very watery and tasteless to say the least.
I was very unimpressed with my stay here and wouldn’t recommend to anyone looking at booking anytime soon.
Disgusted
We went to this hotel on the 11th October for 4 nights all inclusive, we complained about the room but was told there was no other room to stay in, magazine in our room stating how the hotel was all done up, we have contacted the company 5 times and all we get it sorry you didn’t have a good time we will look into it, then nothing, the reception staff where not greet at all, sun loungers that you wouldn’t use cause they were disgusting, air conditioning was 2 plug in fans, that sounded like jumbo jets taking of and camp beds to sleep on, bathroom had broken tiles etc
OMG
Terrible`
WORST HOTEL - AVOID!!!! Title
The food is not Portuguese but instead Malaysian slip with no names on which goes against hygiene standards – if I wanted Malaysian then I would go to Malaysia ……not PORTUGAL!
Honestly, they have ruined this hotel!!!!! Avoid at all costs!!
Doesn’t deliver on its promises - or description
A shuttle bus is advertised to take guests to town. The town is located up two very steep hills and many cannot walk that far …NO BUS. Taxis charge £15 Shop on site says booklet …..WRONG. you have to travel to town ( see above) I booked a luxury apartment with a double bed….got a basic apartment with twin beds. Complained. The manager was rude and said ‘ you can’t have a double bed in that room.) The lock on the sliding patio doors ( only entrance) was broken and my son hurt his finger trying to open it.
Shabby
The Management of MGM is appalling
Worst hotel I’ve stayed in !
