Let Mercantile Claims assist you with Marriott Timeshare Release, Claims & Compensation
Owners of Marriott Resorts timeshares often find themselves trapped in infinite contracts with rapidly increasing maintenance fees which ultimately stems from a mis-sold timeshare contract.
Over recent years there have been a number of Legal rulings and law changes regarding mis-sold timeshares by many timeshare groups and resorts which have resulted in refunds and compensation.
Many owners of Marriott’s Grande Vista timeshare contracts are entitled to, or have already made claims. Some of the Marriott owners have said that some of the reasons why they have considered getting rid of their timeshare agreements has been because of the High increases in fees including maintenance fees, aggressive sales techniques used at the sales presentation and of course the selling of timeshare contracts committing owners to paying fees “in perpetuity”
Total Customer Service Fail
Currently staying here. Absolutely the worst Marriott experience ever. Should have known from the start. Tiny driveway to guest service, no place to park, total cluster. Then their computers don’t work. Then they want my Marriott number. I answered your email last month, sent my Marriott number. Do you read? Anyway, moving on.
We get to our building. The only elevator is out. What???? You’d think they’d mention this at check in to give us an opportunity to request a different building? YOU FAILED at customer service. So now we drag our luggage and groceries three stories up the stairs, taking several trips up and down the stairs. Every cheap motel in this town has a working elevator, not the Marriott.
We get inside the room to find a totally wore out and tired interior with patched walls and crumbling tile. From our experience with other Marriott properties, we have come to expect a warm and inviting interior. This one is very generic and … um… “budget oriented.”
Update 1:
Fast forward three days. The only elevator in the building is still not working. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Do we have to drag our luggage back downstairs when we leave in a couple of days? You want to be a Marriott? YOU ARE A TOTAL DUMP!!!Update 2:
We are departing today. Wish we could say we are sad to leave, but this experience was too disappointing and definitely leaves a black mark. It’s unlike anything we’ve experienced at any Marriott before. We had to make five trips up and down the stairs to get our belongings to the car. The suitcase was too heavy to carry down three floors, so we took individual items and packed the bags on the street. What’s more upsetting than the elevator being out, is the fact that this was a planned renovation yet someone in management decided that it is ok to house guests in a six-story building without an elevator for the entire duration of their stay & made the conscious decision to not let the guests know ahead of time.
This is the biggest fail at customer service we have ever experienced anywhere. Someone decided that it is OK to knowingly inconvenience guests and not give one hoot.

Terrible disappointment!
We expected a wonderful experience at Marriott Grande Vista as it is a vacation club property.
The grounds are beautiful and the room was attractive but the service was deplorable. On our way out to dinner we stopped at the front desk and asked for additional towels and wash cloths for the next day.
Upon our return to the room we found 2 bath towels and 27 wash cloths in a large garbage bag thrown on the floor of the room- not even placed in the bathroom.
We were shocked and insulted by the gesture. It’s as if someone took a bag of towels from housekeeping without even looking what was in it and tossed it inside and closed the door.
At check out I said I was very disappointed in the service and the clerk did not seem to flinch.
I have stayed at 2 and 3 star properties and treated far better. In stark contrast I recently stayed at a Marriott in downtown Buffalo NY and was treated like royalty and the hospitality and service impeccable.
The Marriott Grand Vista staff needs to be trained in hospitality and realize they give their company a poor reputation.
Staff and Activities not at same level as other Marriott resorts
We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit for 6 days. We felt like we had rented an apartment.
Even though this is one of Marriott’s larger resorts we received no notice of daily activities. Housekeeping didn’t even change out towels the whole time we were there. I don’t think any staff member so much as responded to a “Hello.”
We have consistently had better treatment at every other Marriott resort we stay at – and all are facilities with smaller staffs than this one.
With all of the choices in the Orlando area, stay at a different one.
Disrespectful Staff, Liars in the sales department.
Not the cleanest of places….disrespectful staff…..promised a room close to the pool and wound up at the fathers away building.
Limited equipment in the gym….no attendants stationed at several play and athletic areas. Find another resort….you’ll be happier.
Marriott is headed downhill.
This time you blew it
As a 40 year member in various Marriott rewards programs and lifetime Titanium level, plus owning 3 Marriott timeshares since 2002, very disappointed at management and staff.
Our Maintenance fees include several hundred dollars for housekeeping and since timeshare owners do not get daily service, it covers the cleaning of rooms before arrival. Typically they knock it on your door at 9-10am to make sure you are out by 10. We arrived at 4pm to check in as stated, had reserving 2, 2 bedroom units. At 4 pm, only 1 lockout portion of the first unit was ready. The story line given was they were waiting ‘for an inspection’. The 2nd 2 bedroom unit was “almost ready”.
At 6:30, I returned from getting dinner and the housekeeper left the 2nd room of the first unit and moved down to the floor below, which eventually became our 2nd 2 bedroom unit. At 6, 7 and 8 calls got the same canned response, with no one able to tell me when the rooms would be ready. So, no one knows anything? I’m sure housekeeping new that my 2nd unit that was vacated at 10am will only start to be cleaned at 6:30.
The night manager gave me the keys at 8:30 at which time I asked why couldn’t I get straight answers. Got the usual run around with no direct answers. In my opinion housekeeping was not properly staffed yesterday, and that’s what we paid for.
I’m glad for all the others whose rooms were ready before 4, and between 4 and 8:30. You all must have hire status.
For me, Grande Vista, YOU BLEW IT. As for the GM, can’t wait to meet you this week.
With all your canned responses, I ready to sell my Marriott timeshares now.
MVCI Owners beware
On arrival the two bedroom villa was dirty, hairs in the shower and bathroom, dirty oily worn torn sheets and not Marriott grade, no Vacation Club Robes, cannot close the washing machine cupboard doors in the kitchen.
The chipboard bathroom fitments swelling at the base.
A 22 year old building property in need of a major refurbishment and new fitments.
The Jacuzzi bath needs a major service and the Air Con filters trip the system out probably because they are blocked.
Cannot lock the master bedroom toilet door.
This is not the product we brought into 22 years ago and does not match the standards of Marriott Marbella Beach or the two units in Phuket.
