Great Stay at Leeming Wells Guest House
Stayed for one night. The room was comfortable, clean and it was a good size.
The heating system worked well and kept us nice and warm during the freezing temperatures. There was also coffee/tea making facilities in the room. The only negative was the size of the bed which seemed to be a double size and it was too small for my 6’3″ height.
There was an indoor pool and sauna which was a nice bonus.
A full English breakfast was included in the price and was served in the pub next to the Guest House called The Dog & Gun.
Lovely pub, had a lot of character with a cosy atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, a great stay!
Can’t fault it!
Just back from a trip to Yorkshire and stayed in the beautiful Leeming Wells Hotel.
Myself and my sis in law and niece had booked the self catering apartment/suite and paid extra for our breakfast. We were greeted by a lovely lady who showed us our apartment and it was absolutely gorgeous. I love the decor and it was so warm and cosy. The pull out sofa was already made up and it was home from home. Very surprised (pleasantly!) to find we had the whole place to ourselves and we headed for the Dog and Gun next door for a drink. Our breakfast order was taken and the staff were so nice.
We had a swim and sauna before heading off to my gig (I’m a singer) and I didn’t want to leave the pool! The toilets were lovely and clean near the pool, and the pool temp was spot on. I couldn’t work the shower in the apartment bathroom but had a soothing hot bath instead. The water was RED HOT! Kitchen shimmering clean!
The landlord in the dog and Gun served us a beautiful breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. Not a bit of fat on our plates, bacon done perfectly, toast nice and warm and tea was lovely and hot. We were left in peace to enjoy a lovely stay and were made very welcome. We really wanted to stay an extra night, but I had another show to do elsewhere grrr!
Thank you to all at Leeming Wells AND Dog & Gun, your hospitality was much appreciated and we will DEF be back
Tina Turner and the Ikettes!
Brilliant weekend and fantastic accommodation
Just returned from a superb weekend staying at Leeming Wells. Great location to visit Haworth and neighbouring villages and towns.
We were warmly welcomed by the owner and his grandchildren who showed us to our room and explained everything which was really nice. We had our evening meal in the adjacent pub, The Dog and Gun which was fantastic quality and value for money.
Breakfast was also served in the pub and again was great quality and very efficient in its organisation with an ordering system completed on a form the previous evening.
The room was spacious and very clean with lots of tea and coffee available as well as biscuits and some chocolates which were a nice touch.
All staff were friendly and really helpful.
We certainly will be staying again and next time we will remember our swimming stuff so W.E can make use of the swimming pool and sauna!
Thanks for a great weekend.
away for the night !
I wanted somewhere close to Haworth & Hebden bridge,& found Leeming wells.
The place is lovely, & quite even though the road alongside can get quite busy.
Plenty of parking spaces.
The reception was small, & we were greeted by a lovely lass who showed us to our room, room 3 Anne.
Room was big & comfy, clean with a decent size bathroom & a great big bed…. lovely!
We booked last minute, so forgot to take our swimming things, but the pool area looked great, with a sauna at the side, we defo will be going for a swim next time.
We also had dinner at the pub next door, which is where breakfast is served,& again I couldn’t fault a thing about it…lovely place, with great service.
Dreamy!
I particularly chose to stay at Leeming Wells because of its location, but then I fell in love with its lovely atmosphere! Rooms were very nicely decorated and named after Bronte family members. Both our room and the bathroom were really clean and neat.
It was really relaxing to chill in a warm pool after a long day of travelling.
Staff were incredibly kind and caring. We got to have the loveliest dinner by the fireplace in the pub nearby also owned by the same person. Breakfast was also served according to our dietary habits.
I stayed there with a friend but immediately booked another stay so that I can spend a cosy night there with my boyfriend too. Perfect for couples, families and lone travellers!
Great stay all year round!
Me and my husband just had our second visit to Leeming wells.
We love it there.
Great place to walk and visit surrounding towns and villages, or just a place to relax and have a few drinks next door.
The rooms are clean, warm and very comfortable, we have stayed in the suit and the twin room and both were great! It has plenty of parking, great views and we love the swimming pool and sauna, I’m so glad that the sauna was working as the first time we visited it was out of order, didn’t matter what time we went swimming we had it to ourself’s.
The food and atmosphere next door in the dog and gun is great. The staff at Leeming wells are really friendly and the cleaner always had a smile on her face! We will definitely be coming back again, it’s like our own little hide away from the rest of the world.
The only reason why I haven’t gave it 5 stars is that on a night you can hear cars on the road, tv’s and people talking in the other rooms but this isn’t stopping us coming back, we will just bring ear plugs lol. See you soon Leeming wells!
