Let Mercantile Claims assist you with Timeshare Release, Claims & Compensation
Owners of Kololi Beach Club timeshares often find themselves confined in endless contracts with rapidly increasing maintenance fees which ultimately stems from a mis-sold timeshare contract. Over recent years there have been a number of ground-breaking rulings regarding mis-sold timeshares by many timeshare groups and resorts which have resulted in refunds and compensation. Many owners of Kololi Beach Club timeshare contracts are entitled to, or have already made claims. Many claims have arisen because of mis-selling timeshare contracts committing owners to paying fees “in perpetuity”
Very nice, friendly resort
The people who work at Kololi Beach Club are very friendly. Especially Ousman, one of the waiters.
I have a gluten intolerance and I don’t like going out for dinner, because a lot of restaurants don’t know how to make a 100% glutenfree meal. Ousman really took good care of me and kept on checking with the kitchen if it all went well with the food. No question was too much. His sincere kindness really made us feel welcome.
One of the bartenders (called Pa), was also very friendly and made the best cocktails ever! We went there every day before dinner for a nice chat and a cocktail.
Special thanks also to KC who also made us feel very welcome, showing us the way around the hotel and for introducing us to local guide Mass, who showed us several national parks and a lot of birds of the Gambia.
The room was cleaned 6 days a week and the cleaning lady was always cheerful. Unfortunately, I forgot her name. But also the guards, gardeners, the water-man, and the people at the supermarket were very friendly and cheerful.
The rooms are nice, very big and light. We had a ground floor room, in a beautiful garden.
At the resort are a lot of monkeys and a lot of different kinds of birds, even sitting there at your own porch is a small safari. We had a great time. Nice pool, nice beach. Great food at the restaurant.

TOP NOTCH
Although I did not stay at this resort, I was next door so to speak.
I spent most of my time at Kololi Beach Resort.
The facilities are top notch. The service & facilities were very good.
The staff & the food were great, I will be going back in 5 weeks time & I am looking forward to renewing my new found friendship with all at Kololi Beach.
Welcome Back
Arriving back in The Gambia, a good flight Titan Airways arranged through the Gambia Experience.
The food was edible with hard working and polite cabin crew. It was a shame that once again the onboard entertainment Titan app was not working. The six hours soon passed and it was time to step out into the Gambian sunshine, 36c a change from the November UK weather.
Soon through passport control into the luggage collection hall, porters waiting with trolleys can be taken for ones’ own use but let the porter deal who will take you via customs to the car park, £1 tip, at the time exchange rate with a licensed money exchange D62 to one pound sterling. A delay at customs as only one scanner out of the two was working, not unusual.
Kololi Beach Resort rep was waiting “Welcome Back” Taxi prearranged. Half an hour later into reception greeted with a welcome drink of the local non-alcoholic Wonjo juice made from dried hibiscus flowers (Sorrel flowers) with the offer of a nice cold flannel.
Paper work completed, the key to one’s accommodation with an awaiting member of staff plus his barrow to assist you and your luggage to your villa/bungalow. Electricity is often by the Hotels generator and fuel is expensive so air con is an extra, although all rooms have ceiling fans. Time to settle in, take a dip in the one of two swimming pools, the larger of the pools close to the restaurant, offering a selection of snacks or main meals, look out for the chef’s specials, local fish a must or Gambian dishes. A walk round the extensive well kept grounds, golf course, keep an open for the bird life, The Gambia on the list of bird watchers must do.
Many trips on offer but contact reception or an authorised tour operator, do not be tempted to take the offer of a friendly local, they are not licensed, if their car breaks down you are often expected to help and in the event of an injury accident are you covered by your holiday insurance? There are several good private medical clinics in case of medical emergency.
Remember your anti malaria tablets.
When out and about the sharp eyed may notice the few but various army vehicles not from The Gambian army, these are members of ECOWAS, Economic Council of West African states, there are 15 West African nation states who are members, some of whom assisted in the peaceful departure of the former President Yaha Jemmeh who having lost the election and refused to go.
Unfortunately before departure he stripped the Gambian National Bank of funds, most Gambians are happy for ECOWAS to stay as several members of the Army were pro Jemmeh but all is peaceful now.
Close to Kololi Beach is the semi Gambia strip with numerous restaurants.
When out and about a visit to the Serrakunda market is a must but take a guide and beware of pickpockets, back packs are so easily unzipped. Crimes against tourists are rare.
My biggest disappointment is the short length of the main tourist season September to May it could be longer the Hotels are open, the sun still shines and the people are happy to welcome you back.
Exceeded expectations
Stayed at Kololi beach resort earlier this month and absolutely loved it. It’s a beautifully positioned and maintained hotel but what made it for us was the staff… Everyone remembers your name and goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. From Jari in the clothes shop to Mohammed on security to Karamba the maintenance guy (which we needed a few times due to faulty toilets and showers), you were guaranteed a warm and personal greeting.
The setting is perfect. We stayed in the Springs apartments which are slightly up from the beach but was only a 1min walk to the clubhouse, restaurant and beach itself. The apartment was kept meticulously clean by our maid, Monika. The a/c worked efficiently and we had zero issues with mosquitos. The springs apartment also have their own pool which is a nice touch!
You are a very short walk from the buzz of the main strip with all of its bars and restaurants. Yes, you get a bit of hassle, but if you’re polite and respectful, then that becomes reciprocated. We had to be a little firmer on one or two occasions, but never once felt unsafe or intimidated by it.
My only minor gripe is with the price of the welcome hampers we opted for upon arrival… As we were unfamiliar with the setup and area, we didn’t realise how accessible everything was, so in hindsight, we could’ve purchased everything – and better quality products – locally for a fraction of the cost. I appreciate the whole point of it is convenience, but we felt it was very overpriced.
Otherwise, a massive and heartfelt thank you – especially to Ousman, Karafe and Teresa who made our holiday particularly special and we will never forget you.
Lovely hotel
Would highly recommend Kololi Beach Resort, I’ve stayed in many places in Gambia and I can honestly say this is by far the nicest Resort I have stayed in. Staff are very professional and all issues where dealt with very quickly, I felt they worked hard to make sure everything was nice for guests and all went that extra mile!
FANTASTIC
We had a cheeky week away at Kololi Beach Resort, we fell in love with how relaxing it was, very private and yet 5 minutes walk your on the strip with such good restaurants and bars.
We did eat every day in the clubhouse and food was exceptional so going out was not a necessity.
The Villa we had was 2 bedroom, very clean, maid service, fresh towels and a lovely patio facing the sea. The staff are wonderful, helpful, friendly nothing is too much trouble … special mention to Sue , Awa , Tony , Casey and Misha….
Having been in the travel industry for 25 years extensively travelled all over the world and here we have found a home-from-home where we do intend to spend as much time as we can with our family and looking forward to retiring and staying for the amazing winter sun!
Thank you and so hope to see you all sooner rather than later !!!!

Beautiful resort
Holiday with friends to The Gambia. Stayed at the Kololi Beach resort which is located approximately 20/25 minutes from Banjul airport.
The resort staff were welcoming friendly and very helpful. The villa was clean bright and had sufficient air conditioning. Absolutely no mosquitos! The surroundings are beautiful with tiny green birds and monkeys who may pay a visit on the porch!
The restaurant on site offered a varied menu along with local entertainment on certain nights.
Special shout out to Chef Lamin, Ousman, Yaya, Ebrima, Ken, & Mamadi!! And to all the other staff whose names I can’t remember but who made our stay an absolute pleasure!
