Lovely hotel, great location but massive let down by staff.
I booked this hotel through booking.com for a 3 day trip.
On arrival I was pleased with the look & location of the hotel however once I reached reception it went down hill.
Myself & the group I was travelling with were held at reception for well over an hour, the hotel refused to honour the price we had received from bookings.com and insisted we paid over €200 more, during this time the staff & management were argumentative and very unhelpful in the end we paid the extra money with the understanding that bookings.com will reimburse us.
Once we checked in we went to our apartments which were very nice, they were clean & spacious with very comfortable beds, sadly the aircon was a little lacking.
The following morning we went for breakfast which had been paid for only to be told breakfast wasn’t included and we needed to pay, I had contacted the hotel prior to our arrival to confirm breakfast was included and had all the relevant evidence to back this up, again it was a battle and we had to argue with staff & management even after presenting an email from the hotel confirming breakfast was included… on hindsight we wish we had never bothered with booking breakfast as it was very underwhelming.
The pool & bar area were very good and very clean & pricing for food & drinks were decent as were the bar staff.
The lifeguard had a bit of a chip on his shoulder and didn’t appreciate people laughing to loud or splashing about in the pool.
Overall the hotel was decent but the whole experience was massively overshadowed by the shoddy attitude of the management & majority of the staff.
We went away for a quiet week but once again there were knocks in the door trying to encourage us to go for a presentation to coerce us into buying some sort of holiday.
The got rid of Silverpoint in January 2018 but nothing has changed.
Don’t go to these meeting they only want your money
Well, what can I say I have been to this hotel for 20yrs and I never seen it so run down and bad staff.
Locals just coming in using the swimming pool being rude to guests and blocking off the pool entrance.
The management did nothing about it when informed so don’t pay expensive prices for low-class facilities.
Dirty and not looked after the way it used to be
Numerous problems with the room which most of them were sorted pool area was not clean.
The whole place, in my opinion, has gone downhill.
I now rate no more than a 3star hotel.
A very tired resort
This resort requires to be updated and refurbished, it was a bit of a hit and miss the good bits were great, the kids loved the poolside activities etc. but the unit was badly in need of an upgrade.
The resort is on a very hilly site therefore not suitable for anybody with walking problems.
Not what we expected
Disappointed from arrival, no welcome could not her at re epsilon as a band were playing just off reception.
Seems to be one rule god one and smother gif someone else, they say any towels left on sunbeds will be removed we watched one guy every morning at 8 am put towels on the same dubbed every day gif 7 days Gary one back on his isn’t about 9 am then housewife joined him about 10am, their towels were never removed.
The place needs a good update we won’t be returning
