Looks ok from a distance.
Our family will be travelling to a third world country soon and have been concerned about water quality there. Little did we know that it is the water quality at this Holiday Inn that should concern us. I thought everyone was forgetting to flush the toilet because of the yellow water. Then, I took a shower and when the drain didn’t work properly I saw yellow water backing up into the tub. We had to boil water just to brush our teeth. Most things in this resort are very dated. Loose faucets, peeling paint on cabinets and so forth. The cleanliness is ok. Not great, just ok. All in all, we found it to be below average for an establishment of this type
This place sucks, matter of fact, ALL OF THE SILVERLEAF RESORTS ARE HORRIBLE!!!
Silverleaf is a complete rip off and a waste of money.
We drove over 4 hours to get to this place. Once we arrived the property smelled old and of mildew.
The bathrooms were infested with roaches and other bugs. The toilets were also filthy!
We made several phone calls to the front office that were unanswered… the following morning personally went to the front desk to address our issues and was informed that we needed to wait until the manager arrived, three hours later I had to call back to speak with a manager, that informed me someone would come clean our unit in an hour… oh let me not forget to mention our BBQ grill is surrounded by mildew. This place is the pits!
Each property I visit, it’s the same.
Old, raggedy units with refurbished crap from hotels that’s closed down.
Warning to anyone that does a Silverleaf presentation, Don’t do it!!!! They will bait you in with their beautiful pictures. But unless you actually visit the properties for yourself, don’t purchase this mess.
This is a revolving door condo that lures families in and takes their money for something that looks and feels like a MOTEL that you would never stay at!!!!
We have been stuck with this shit for over 4 years and at this point, I’m willing to default on the “loan” and dispute this on my credit.
The amount of money that we have invested and still pay monthly has been a complete waste and we feel obligated to continue to do visits because of the contract. Beware, beware, beware! Silverleaf is a piece of shit!!!!!
Doesn’t live up to expectations
I really wanted to like this place.
But it just doesn’t live up to expectations. Customer service was horrible.
All pools down.
The inside pool has been broken for years according to a regular guest.
No extra linen for pull out bed.
Spider spiders everywhere including in my bed.
Pool nazi kicking us out at 9am because the pool opens at 10 (in the room it said common areas are often 8am-10pm).
Arcade costs a dollar per game and 40 tickets gets you a sticker. At this point, I can’t bring people back here this summer.
What a shame!!!
Buyer beware, The timeshare is a scam. The contracts are legally binding forever with no way out after buyer’s remorse. The maintenance and upkeep is terrible with maintenance fees going up every year.

horse riding was great. you need a car for this resort. food shop not open during the week. pools are not supervised and the resort is open to anyone..no guard on gate anymore. mini golf needs work but can be played. has tennis and volleyball. cute bbq for each block of cabins.
Never give your phone number. They won’t stop calling. Takes forever to get out of their system.
I wished that I could give zero stars as that the kind of service that me and my family received while staying our week at Piney Shores.
We have been coming here for about 20 years and each year there has been some sort of an issue. This was the worst, however, we checked in on Friday night and got into our room to discover our a/c wasn’t cooling, keep in mind that is was over 90 degrees and a sweltering 80 inside.
We called the office and they sent their service guy who brought in his handy, dandy thermometer and pointed it at the supply vent and told my wife that it is doing all it can do. We ask to be moved and he said that that was up to the office personnel. We then called the office and they were quick to say that they had nothing available. We ask if they had a portable air conditioner then again they had none. Seems to be a standard answer. The next day we called to say our air still wasn’t working and they sent two guys out to tell us that there was nothing wrong with the a/c but they put Freon in it. Again, it was still not cooling. We suffered thru the night and called again this time they brought us a portable air conditioner, I imagine that they have one of these when you complain enough. Needless to say, we cut our week short due to not being able to keep comfortable and the lack of support the office personnel gave us. I am moving toward selling this due to bad service.
