Holiday Inn Club Vacation Timeshare
Horrible. I purchased a on 14MAR18 and called to request a cancellation within the ten day cancellation period. I was told that they couldn’t cancel and if i wanted to i was within all rights to cancel and “that i can figure it out with my contract since it’s all in there.” I’m sure this is said so my cancellation period elapses and then I’m stuck with it. I have already got a lawyer and intend to pursue this out further. This is just ridiculous how i went from their best friend to “you can figure out yourself”.
Snaked into a timeshare hard sell - BEWARE
It was a good deal to book using IHG points so we decided to come here – should have read more reviews.
This is essentially a timeshare resort and they will weasel you into taking a tour and enduring a hard-sell sales pitch in order to get passes to the amenities, otherwise, the amenities are comically expensive.
The pitch is convoluted, like so many timeshare pitches are, and while it’s up to you to decide what you can cope with it’s really grating when they pull the “let me get my manager” switch out.
In my case the manager was rude and sarcastic, and somehow thought we’d wasted THEIR time.
Just a bad experience all around.
DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Toggle Content goes Nice Resort - DO NOT BUY A TIMESHARE HERE!!!!
We have stayed at this resort several times. The rooms are well maintained and the resort has a lot to do. The first few times we just reserved a room without using timeshare points. Then Holiday Inn bought the resort with my timeshare and converted my timeshare to points. I found that renting rooms at the resort without owning timeshare is a much lower cost than the total cost of the maintenance fees and membership fees of owning the timeshare. In addition, if you are late on your maintenance fees, they will add a $100 per month late fee until you pay. Only a few of the Holiday Inn Club resorts are worth staying at. They will offer a 90 minute timeshare presentation for some tickets to use the waterslide and putt putt golf at the resort. They will keep you are the presentation for at least 2 and a half hours.
Terrible experience would not buy a timeshare here
Everything was a lie and misrepresentation from the onset. I was told for $200 I could bring 4 people and stay at 2 bedroom suite and get theme park passes.
I booked my visit then … Ling story short, ended up paying an additional $785 and then told there is no park passes. On top of that, the 2 bedroom suite ended up being one room with 2 beds for me, my girlfriend, my 21-year-old daughter and her 25-year-old boyfriend.
After the tour, the representative told me it was my fault I did not have enough money for a deposit to buy the timeshare. I said I had no intention of buying since all that was done and presented were lies to me.
Then a manager came and said he’s sorry for my misunderstanding. I told him it wasn’t my fault Holiday Inn misrepresented what I would be getting and where I would be staying and how much it would cost to visit. Anyway up.
Going back to the Holiday Inn on W Iola Bronson Blvd in Kissimmee FL I see that someone from the hotel with access to my room went and took oxycodone pills from my bag.
When I went to check out on Sunday, May 28, they tried to bill me taxes and accommodation fees. I told them I refuse to pay due to the fact it was all supposed to be covered on the tour side. They waived the $158 fees and taxes when I said I will have my attorney follow up. I filed a report and complaint with the hotel and corporate office and to date, no one has responded back to me.
Don’t get trapped or tucked into broken promises from this timeshare resort.
Scammed to buy timeshare
We stayed at this resort and it was nice. However, while making reservations this year an agent convinced my wife to purchase an additional vacation. However, the additional vacation was linked to a timeshare presentation to strong arm her to purchase a timeshare. This place is corrupt, avoid it at all cost.
Never buy a time share from them!
Was pressured into buying a timeshare from them a few years ago. Was told by the salesman that if we ever wanted to get rid of the timeshare that they would gladly take it back for a loss of what we had paid on it. Come to find out they refuse to take it back and now my wife and I are on the hook for thousands of dollars.
