Apartments great.
The apartment was everything we would expect as owners of 19 years. The staff, however, are verging on being anti-British. Not only did we experience very poor service from front of house staff but witnessed other British groups experiencing the same. The new management approach going ‘up market’ especially in the restaurant has lost them a lot of custom. We had two meals in the restaurant and will definitely not be using the restaurant during future visits. The proposed redevelopment of the central hub into the glass house construction was the subject of constant negative discussion around the pool.
NO SUN AT ALL
The apartment I stayed in was terrible we had to have the lights on all the time as there was no outside light “sun ” didn’t shine on any balconies and there was a charge for the electric ..every one gathered outside our place there was no privacy at all wouldn’t recommend to anyone
Let down by reception staff
We came here in April and had a lovely time so we decided to go back this October. Arrived on Friday was given our keys to our apartment.
A very strong smell of bleach had to open windows to get rid of the smell. When checking the apartment we found it not to be clean bin not empty floor very dirty only 2 towels dirty in colour.
I went to the reception and ask for someone to come and clean our room we were told they would come Saturday. Waited all day Saturday no one came I went to the reception again and this time was told if we came back on Sunday they would give us another room but still no one cleaned the apartment we were in so I cleaned it. On Sunday went again to reception and a oh no one knew anything about moving us and when I explained our room was not clean on our arrival was then told the room will be cleaned Monday or Tuesday. This problem could have easily been solved by sending someone to clean our room on Saturday as they promised. Will never go back to this hotel again.
Good and Bad
Thirteen of us stayed here for 9 days over Christmas. We had three 2 bedroom apartments.. Positives: Good sized apartments with 2 bathrooms, nice pool area with a snack bar (the guys running the snack bar were fantastic). Lidl just over the road and close to bars and restaurants.
Negatives: All three rooms were infested with small beasties, as there was bug spray provided under the sink the management is well aware of the problem, we even found them in the kettle, no amount of spray or bleach got rid of them. If you wanted a hot shower you had to have a quick one as not enough hot water for 4 people at a time. I like a firm mattress but these were like sleeping on a slab of concrete. WiFi is very patchy which makes for unhappy teenagers, the excuse we were told is because it’s not compatible with iPhones. The photos provided are of those privately owned and not the ones that are owned by Intercorp. If they got rid of the bugs and updated the rooms I would possibly stay here again.
Dated
Stayed for a week.
Good points. Cleaned every day. Linen changed alternate days. Good positionable to walk to beaches restaurants etc but I have read other people complaining about it being at the top of a hill which is true but we always regard that as good exercise
Bad points. WiFi very patchy not working at all the last two days we were there. When we mentioned it on leaving it seemed to be a regular problem. Whole apartment desperately in need of modernisation very dated. Towels were once white and thick not now. Didn’t use the pool as photos don’t show how it is overlooked by the busy road and Lidl. I would give it a 2-star rating.
