Clube Albufeira Complaints and Reviews
Arrived on our scheduled day and when we got to the apartment, it was dirty, I had the maid come and change all the linens, there were stains on the bedspreads and the blankets looked questionable.
The table was sticky and the bathroom towels were stained.
The staff in the office were incredibly unfriendly.
The housekeeper was sympathetic and changed out all of the linens and cleaned the table.
It is very tired from wear.
I would not stay here again.
Also it is not an easy resort to get around in and the WiFi never worked.
Excellent restaurants on site!!.
The resort is in a great location!!
The units are old and tired!!
We booked our units thru RCI.
The reviews of the property were underwhelming but the location is great relative to the beaches and historic district of Albufeira.
One of the 3 units we rented was very dirty.
Insect remains smeared on the ceilings and walls.
Bedding and mattresses were worn out.
Housekeeping was poor.
Ants were prevalent in 3 units.
We purchased Raid to keep them reduce the population.
The two restaurants on the property are excellent!!
Standard apartment very poor
Don’t book standard self catering apartment very dated no Air-con at a cost of over £1400 for a 11 day stay not worth the money, fitting and fixtures could be a lot better resort is nice with good pools, rooms do get cleaned daily, staff reasonably friendly but beverages are overpriced, within 15 mins walk to old town but get taxi back at around 4 euros.
Would not recommend!
Dreadful place! We arrived at 8pm and were offered no help in finding an apartment on complex, we were handed a map of the complex with our apartment number circled on it!
Trying to find the apartment with no outside lighting to see to walk around the complex was not easy nor safe with children.
We did report the lights on more than 1 occasion but the staff were not interested in the slightest.
There was a VERY busy and noisy road outside our apartment, the traffic could be heard from inside the apartment even with all doors and windows closed.
UNHELPFUL & RUDE reception staff, we had requested a ground floor apartment as we had children in our party, we didn’t get the ground floor and were informed by the manager that because we had written ‘if possible’ when making our request they did not see it as necessary!
On arrival, our toilet was broken and while staying there it broke on at least 3 occasions, which considering we were only there for 8 days wasn’t great. There are no phones in the room to contact reception which meant a walk through the complex to inform the unhelpful reception staff that it needed fixed, and until you see the size of the complex you won’t understand what a pain this was.
Inside the apartment was old and dated and looked nothing like the photos we had viewed. Our pillows were old and lumpy, we had a dangerous balcony, we didn’t have enough towels for the people in our party and we had to request toilet roll as there wasn’t enough provided.
The reception staff will ring a taxi to take you into town but at a cost!
Be careful of what you are being charged for drinks on the complex, I ordered 2 kids cocktails (milkshakes in a mojito glass) one adult cocktail and one beer, 30 euros!!!
When I queried it twice, I was informed that all cocktails were the same price regardless of containing alcohol or not! Never again!
Having visited Clube Albufeira with family three times it was on this visit me and my partner are looking for a Holiday Home property investment and decided to visit the Clube Albufeira reception to hopefully sit and have a chat about the logistics of purchasing a villa.
We were met with a lady whose name I think was Mrs Rosa (she didn’t introduce herself), what then followed was one of the most unprofessional and rude exhibitions of childish behaviour I have ever encountered. We explained that we were looking into options for a holiday home and ‘Mrs Rosa’ snapped “what are you looking for”?
Taken rather aback that we hadn’t been asked to sit down or taken into a sales area I managed to begin a sentence starting “At least a two bedroom villa…” and before I could complete my sentence she barked “I have nothing for you”.
I then paused as the atmosphere coming from ‘Miss Rosa’ was hostile, to say the least and politely asked where we might look to keep track of properties should any become available, at this she threw her hands in the air, shrugged and gave me a look as though I was a complete imbecile and said dripping with sarcasm “have you tried the internet”.
We left as there clearly no point in continuing what was not even a conversation. I have decided to write this as we had spent 3 days seriously discussing the possibility of investing in a property at Clube Albufeira, but ‘Miss Rosa’ has put a very prompt stop to that.
If any of the staff or management read this I would strongly suggest (being the Director of a company myself) that you either send ‘Miss Rosa’ for some customer service retraining or maybe replace her with someone who can receive anyone enquiring about sales with at least a smile, somewhere to chat and an ability to listen and discuss options even if they happen to be long term. Just a thought.
