Let Mercantile Claims assist you with Timeshare Release
Owners of Club Calahonda Crown Resort timeshares often find themselves trapped in endless contracts with rapidly increasing maintenance fees which ultimately stems from a mis-sold timeshare contract. Over recent years there have been a number of ground-breaking rulings regarding mis-sold timeshares by many timeshare groups and resorts which have resulted in refunds and compensation. Many owners of Club Calahonda Crown Resort timeshare contracts are entitled to, or have already made claims. Some resort owners have said that some of the reasons behind their timeshare renunciation has been the high timeshare resort maintenance fees, the aggressive selling techniques used at the pitch and also the fact that their children would still be liable for the fees as the timeshare contract was sold ‘in perpetuity’ meaning their heirs would be liable after their death. The Spanish court recently ruled that such timeshare agreements were illegal leading the way for owners wanting to get rid of their timeshare agreements could do so.
Barking dogs at a no pets allowed facility?
The two bedroom is small. We used the second bedroom as our closet. Can’t image two couples there. We were gone most days leaving at 6:30am to be on a bus for two hours picking up people before getting on the highway for our excursion.
They use Julià Travel. We didn’t have a car, so we were at the mercy of the tour company. We left in the dark and returned in the dark a couple of days. They do NOT have a dryer only a washer. They provide soap but it does not dissolve in the machine.
Since our excursion to Tangier was cancelled on Friday due to waves, I was going to make a salon appointment only to find out they are not open Fridays. This is when the dogs were going nuts. I called to complain and they told me somebody rents there and they would let the manager know the next day as he already went home. After a while, it got worse and then he offered to move us but I had done laundry which was all over the place due to no dryer, food in the fridge, clothes in the second bedroom as I had said and only two more nights so that seemed too difficult at the time.
There is a street lined with restaurants and a couple of bars and a little market that is about half a mile away. We walked there usually. Did eat at the LA Cocina, the restaurant on our property. He recommended the fish and chips but I was not impressed. Way heavy on the batter and old oil was used. We did enjoy Little India if you like Indian food. The owner is actually from Pakistan and quite personable. There is a super Mercado the other direction which has everything at reasonable prices.

Poor timeshare resort.
The resort was very tired, rusty fridge freezer, rusty washing machine, and generally poor quality. To its credit it was clean. The resort was supposed to be silver crown, not quite sure it is anywhere near silver.
Lovely resort, shame about the road noise
Brilliant staff, always pleasant, helpful and informative. Great apartment, exceptional level of cleanliness. However, some parents allowed their children to scream all day long when around the pool. Our apartment overlooked the pool, so time spent on the balcony was not peaceful, but at least we had a lovely view of the sea (10 minutes walk away). Fortunately the unheated pool area was far more relaxed. Some good bars and restaurants five minutes walk away and we were made to feel very welcome. Not a particularly relaxing resort due to the traffic noise from the dual carriageway (5 minutes walk away, and quite dangerous for pedestrians in places.
Family holiday
Great reception staff, always polite and very helpful, as were maintenance staff when our shower broke and flooded on arrival, first use! Apartment 29, ground floor corner apartment allocated by reception as RCI had placed us – 3 adults 3 children on the 3rd floor. Apartment and furniture very tired looking. utensils, crockery etc very basic. Lovely outdoor heated pool, 10 mins walk to an excellent supermarket, although you can use the shuttle bus. Beach 15 mins walk with a decent bar. Generally, a very quiet resort which suited our needs and overall a good holiday.
Stinky Hotel
The apartment smelled of mould and ac and the phone did not work on arrival.
They shut down the water for a whole day which caused big problems to everyone! Several incandescent lamps were taken in the lights and the apartment was very dark. Reception closes at 5pm which is very strange. If you want help with something, please contact another hotel one kilometre up the mountain.
It’s very loud so the whole family heard what others did around the clock .. it should be quiet at 22:00 but it was messy both on the outside and in the apartments where some had fights and threw furniture, fill and karaoke nights that went on in the small hours. There is no security in the area which feels insecure.
Wifi is cash and must be purchased. There was a positive thing, it was extremely clean and tidy so the cleaning staff should have an eloge !! Overall, our stay was nasty indeed so I would not choose this hotel !!!
The area is fate and there is nothing to do !!! A supermarket and some small tapas bars are within 500m. The roads and walkways are extremely rough and people often tended to especially older and children. Choose somewhere closer to Fuengirola or Benalmadena where there are all and nice beaches. Calahonda has cash beaches and no entertainment at all !!!!
