Avoid. Very unfriendly.
This restaurant is part of the ‘Amadores Beach Club’ area where people pay to enter for the day for ‘superior’ loungers, overpriced drinks and enforced DJ music.
This restaurant is terrible, I think they feel that the staff should have an attitude because that’s how ‘superior’ restaurants act!?
The food here is nothing special and overpriced to discourage the ‘wrong crowd’. Stay clear.
OK but not fine dining
We went here for a ‘fine dining’ experience
Although the food was good a few details let it down and made it seem overpriced
Things like the menus being quite tatty, service a little rude and toilets messy
Drinks were all good
The location is beautiful and I’d say the pool experience during the day is nice
I wouldn’t consider it a fancy or fine dining place but it is possibly more upmarket than the nearby beachfront restaurants (which probably have as good food though)
Dissapointed snobby staff
The first impression was good and we were excited to spend the day and our hard-earned cash here on the final day of our holiday on 13/09/17. We were greeted by the receptionist who looked us up and down as if we were not at all welcome.
She then almost accused us of stealing a towel insisting she had given us 3 although there was only 2 on the counter after looking in our bags she then almost threw the third towel at us.
We then walked through to the pool and towards some vacant loungers only for someone to march over and tell us they were reserved and that there were some free at the back.
This was enough for us without buying a drink or food we left and by the look on the receptionists face she was relieved we had.
We are not under 25 or built like models but would have spent more than most in a day there.
We were celebrating buying our apartment so will be returning to Puerto Rico regularly but not to the Beach Club.
Miserable staff
Nice place but staff are miserable, nasty and we had a free pass given by our hotel to go here and were told we can go on a Sunday, went and they said the pass was only valid for Monday to Friday! They let us in but had a miserable look and attitude to us since won’t be going back full of families too
Terrible service.
We stayed on the lounges just outside the club for 24€ and had over 100€ in food and beverage for 2 people.
The server had a personality of a pet rock. Could not care less that we were there. Ignored our requests for food 3x, tried to walk away 2x as we were giving our order, and we tried to pay our bill 3x via the working pager. He ignored us through the window.
We walked up to him and asked him why he was ignoring our requests. 4 other employees were all playing games on their 4 phones.
He said, “so what”. We are thinking of cancelling our cabana for later this week. HE DID NOT SAY ONE WORD TO US DURING ANY OF OUR ORDERS. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT GOOD SERVICE. NOTE: NOT SURE IF THE SERVICE INSIDE THE CLUB IS THE SAME BUT WE WILL FIND OUT.

Awful service and poor food.
I have been here a number of times over the years and the service is never great however this time it was the worst I’ve ever experienced. When you enter the beach club you are given a bell to let your server know you want service.
I pressed the buzzer and waited, and again, and again. I waited 30 minutes before I was served and that was purely because I went to the bar area. I asked my server to check my buzzer was working, she pressed the button herself and was then notified on her pager.
She handed the buzzer back to me and said yes it’s working. I explained that I had pressed button numerous times and had been waiting 30 mins. She had nothing further to say! I made my order at the bar, a chicken burger and a virgin strawberry daiquiri.
The burger was well presented on the plate however it was disgusting when I bit into it. I can only describe it as mashed potato (maybe it had some chicken in but it was completely pulverised), covered in breadcrumbs and deep fried.
I suppose you could liken it to a fishcake from the chip shop! It was bland and not at all what I had expected. It cost €10 (no accompaniments i.e. no chips – just the ‘burger’!) The daiquiri was pure sugar & red colouring with an odd lump of frozen strawberry thrown in.
Don’t waste your money on food and drink here, there are plenty of good food and drink options on the beach just 5 minutes away. There are other beach clubs opening up in GC (one in San Agustin, another at the other beach in Puerto Rico and Anfi resort have recently opened one of theirs to the public) I will most definitely be trying one of the other beach clubs next time. Amadores beach club has clearly had its time!
