FABULAS LOCATION
My feet are well used to walking along the strip in Puerto Del Carmen, you can read anywhere about the hundreds of bars shops and restaurants along a 3 mile modern front with great beaches along the way.
I like to get my flights as soon as they come available a year in advance to save money and look around for different places to stay, either by walking into reception and asking if I can look around and see a room, or by internet research from the settee at home.
I chose for my 2 week October holiday 2016,[ Ocean Lanzamar!] having passed it on trips to the new Lidl supermarket and being in an area I like to stay in, near the new shopping centre and old town.
I booked my apartment from a website for privately owned rentals, it was £500 for the 2 weeks and a cleaner popped in once to change the bedding. It is a self cleaning place otherwise, with washing machine and a cupboard full of cleaning products. I booked a 1 bed apartment with 2 single beds, big lounge dinner kitchen all in one, with separate bathroom and great power shower, the apartments blocks are 3 storey, I stayed in a ground floor flat with outside terrace with ample room to sit in the sun and dry any washing on equipment provided, I talked to many people that were staying there at the same time as me, and many go back every year to these apartments. [ I can see why]
Excellent place to stay, and 2 weeks without rain with lovely hot sunshine, I will be back A.S.A.P.

We stayed in the Ocean Lanzamar for 3 weeks during August 2015.
The facility was always kept to the highest standard. The pool and the surrounding area was cleaned every day. There was plenty of good sun loungers available around the pool. There is also a security barrier around both the small and large pool preventing unintentional pool entry for young and old alike. Great for small children walking around the pool.
The apartments are well kept with all the catering failures required for a short stay.
I would return tomorrow if I could.

Me and my wife stayed Ocean Lanzamar ( APPT 218 ), Should have been for 2 weeks ( Thursday Sept 11th – Thursday 25th ), but left on the 15th ( Monday ), and had to fork out a further £250 for the remaining time left of our holiday.
We could not accept the state the accommodation was in when we finally arrived which was late due to late afternoon flight, then having to wait for a taxi at Arrecife airport for about 30 – 40 minutes. The bed linen was stained and did not look inviting to sleep on , but being very tired we had no choice. The following morning of the 12th Sept we had a good look around the apartment and were not impressed, the plus side yes had a big fridge freezer, yes it did have a washing machine, but it had no oven so when staying in on the odd occasion you could not cook a meal as had no oven. The settee was very very uncomfortable to sit on as could feel all the metal frame underneath. We did look in the cupboards for extra bed linen but what we saw was not what you would want to sleep on.
The cleaner did not do her job properly but the owner could have improved the apartment to make the guests feel more at home, but for us this was not the case.
The Ocean Lanzamar was not ideal for me and my wife as being disabled hills and a claustrophobic lift was not ideal. My wife suffered badly with her legs due to the constant up and down the hills just to go for something to eat or even to look around the place so on the 15th ( mon) we decided to move from the complex and find another more suitable accommodation which luckily we did, unfortunately by doing this we ended up out of pocket but will make sure in future that this never happens again.
Home from home
Stayed in the Ocean Lanzamar at the end of may/early June. The complex is very well kept and it had a lovely pool area. Most apartments in this complex have Irish and UK channels on TV which is great to have when you have a few hours in the evening to pass away.
The apartment I stayed in {218} had everything you could want including a full size fridge/freezer, washing machine, three fans which on this occasion weren’t needed and a safe also in the bedroom. Three different wifi signals around the complex. Spar just behind complex.
Never a problem getting a sunbed. Very quiet and no traffic etc. to keep you awake. Very short walk to Old Town, slightly further to Strip but only a ten minute walk. Would definitely go back to this complex.

I got back from another visit from Ocean Lanzamar in which I had stayed a year and a half ago. It was just as good and just as clean. I really love staying there. My friends stayed in another apartment in the complex, so I was able to see what another apartment looked like, considering I stayed in the same apartment again as last time. I much prefer mine so very much. Don’t get me wrong, their apartment was very clean and had everything, but mine was so much more comfortable and modern. A few people asked me for the email address of the complex so they could get in contact with someone about booking, but this time I also remembered the apartment I stayed in. I could not remember it last time. Had too much fun.
I know you will love staying in Ocean Lanzamar, it is a great place..

just spent 10 days at ocean lanzamar booked 2 apts private owned both apts were nice 1 had 4 ring hob other had 2 would feel that a few small extra touches would benefit
george foreman large grills that would act as sandwich maker and we did find on a few nights the apts were chilly a small heater just to put on for 1/2 hour while getting ready to go out
the complex is very quiet no noise at night and is very central to both old and new town no need for taxi
the pool unfortunately is not heated and that was a BIG minus as it was freezing could not use at this time of year
its a pity that what was once a poolside bar and restaurant couldn’t reopen as this would make this the perfect complex
this was first visit in 14 years and we had a very enjoyable time and will be returning next year and having looked at a lot of apts while we were there ocean lanzamar would be our 1st choice
