We were robbed at this hotel.
DO NOT STAY HERE. WE WERE ROBBED HERE.
We stayed at this hotel on 4/20/17 on a mini vacation that supposes to be fun and romantic.
We left our room for a bike ride and then came back to our room I noticed
that my iPhone and cash was missing.Key entry report showed multiple entries by staff to our room between that time.
No room service was requested.
After 4 hours investigation and filing police reported I was told by management that they can’t help me and I need to contact their head office in Vegas for additional investigation. Worse customer service ever!

Stay Here and Get Spam Phone Calls for the Rest of Your Life
The hotel itself is nice enough, although it has a bit of a cheesy nightclub vibe. However, after staying here, you will begin getting endless spam robo-calls that all begin with a something like, “because you stayed in our exclusive VA Beach resort, we’d like to make you an offer …” The calls come daily, from various spoof numbers to make it look like they’re coming from locally. Block one, and you get a call from a similar number of days later. I have blocked at least 30 phone numbers, and still, the calls keep coming. Stay on the line and tell them never to call again and they’ll still call again … and again … and again.
Vacation
My husband and I had a horrible experience at the Oceanaire.
We had a family reunion in VA beach. We thought that this would be a great location due to it being on the boardwalk and reviews. However, we were shocked by the poor service.
The staff were not friendly and were upset when we asked about valet.
Furthermore, there was a lack of personnel to help unload our suitcases.
When we booked our room, the staff gave us inaccurate information and didn’t specify the difference between ocean view and oceanfront. There was no daily housekeeping.
We requested an extra towel and they charged us for a towel.
Also, the sink was not functional in our room and the guest services requested that we call back to remind them. I do not recommend this Resort to anyone. It was the worst place we’ve ever stayed!
HORRIBLE for a Big time want to be Hotel
Beds are hard we could not sleep
Also, some of there pillows are down feathers not good if you have allergies as I do
We were told no cleaning rooms unless we want to pay an extra 30usd we ask for at least some clean towels what took 6 hrs to get
As we went to the pool there were no more towels left and we were told sorry the Truck left for today no more clean pool towels
And also on the 10th floor Sun Deck is a huge pit fire that’s not been on the whole time we were here
NEVER AGAIN WILL I PAY 550USD FOR 3 NIGHTS AT THIS HOTEL OR ASSOCIATED HOTELS WITH DIAMOND RESORT
Never go back
A group of friends had booked this, what seemed to be a great hotel, to celebrate a friend’s birthday (the party was held at another location). The first irritation was the $20 a night resort fee for each night they slap on top of the room charge. We arrived at 3:35 pm after having called at 11:00 to ensure that our room was ready. When we checked in we were told that the room was not ready.
Remember this is a timeshare property so they give the ready rooms to members first, it appears. We had friends check in much later and were told the same thing (rooms are supposed to ready at 4:00).
Finally, when we pressured the front desk clerk she magically found our room. The room itself was all right – the shampoos etc… were really nice and there were plenty of towels etc… The room was clean, but in our studio, the only bedding option was double beds. I just do not think too highly of rooms that only offer double beds. We went out to our party and when we came back around 11:00 police were outside arresting some underage boys who had had a party at the hotel and doing who knows what. We saw an older woman coming out with sodas etc.. I guess from having been evicted.
We go to our floor and we are greeted by police who ask us if we are coming to pick up our boys – we looked down the hall and sure enough, there were two more boys sitting on the floor in handcuffs. Other friends said that there was a lot of loud screaming and noise on their floors as well. When you check in you have to sign a contract saying that there will be no parties in the room. I do not know what it is about this hotel/timeshare, but it attracts a different crowd.
As great a location as it is, we will never come back. I appreciate the management kicking out the underage party boys, but we just did not get a good feeling about the place. The last straw was the 10:00 early checkout. Who wants to rush out at 10:00 in the morning???
There were no late checkouts available. Hotels that I have stayed in at least give you until 11:00 to check out. Again, we will never go back. There are too many other nice hotels in the area.
A Resort??
A resort, really?? I have never stayed at any resort where I had to take out my own trash and use the same towels the entire stay.
So disappointed because I had planned this trip for my elderly mother (from Texas) to visit her home state and her beloved Virginia Beach just one more time as traveling this far is difficult for her.
I booked an Ocean View (only because an Ocean Front was not available), and was ASSURED we would have a nice ‘view’ of the ocean. NOPE! You literally had to press your face against the living room window to see the water and our room was at the back of the hotel, so could only see a small slice.
Upon asking for another room, was told there was a VIP event and no other rooms were available. 2 stars given for the cleanliness of the room and friendliness of both phone reservation and valet employees. To top things off, received a $90 Resort fee on my final bill. Not worth the money!!! Trip sidenote: Mom even started commenting at the sight of cleaning carts at the low-cost motels…..ha!
