Let Mercantile Claims help you with Diamond Resorts Timeshare Release, Claims & Compensation
Owners of Los Amigos Beach Club timeshares often find themselves trapped in infinite agreements with rapidly increasing maintenance charges which ultimately stem from a mis-sold timeshare agreement. In recent years, there have been many ground-breaking rulings regarding mis-sold timeshares by many timeshare groups and resorts leading to refunds and compensation.
Many owners of Los Amigos Beach Club timeshare agreements are entitled to or have already pursued claims. There has been a huge rise in timeshare release enquiries and complaints from clients with Diamond Resorts timeshares stating that they are unhappy with sales tactics used at the initial presentations, the level of ongoing maintenance fees, and being tied into agreements that are ‘in perpetuity‘
Very Upset, treated as second class travellers
I am a Diamond Resort member of 17 years and have a substantial investment in this company as a ‘Club Select’ member and, up to now, have been satisfied with all of the resorts we have visited over the many years of membership, ironically including Los Amigos!
I booked a week with Los Amigos from 12th -19th June 2014 and the treatment that both she and her boyfriend received was dismissive and unreasonable. They are both responsible adults but because they are polite and well mannered they were taken for granted and not afforded the respect that consumers should receive.
Basically, they were abandoned as soon as they checked out with 10 hours to kill before their flight.
Their requests for a shower facility closer to their departure time was refused without even the promise to try and resolve their problem. (Although as a regular traveller with Diamond resorts I know the facility exists!)
They were told that they had to shower in the hotel lobby restrooms!!! Unbelievable.
To add insult to injury the hotel immediately stopped their prepaid (by me) wi-fi !!! Why on earth did they do that when they knew that the flight home was 10 hours later?
I had planned to take my whole family back to Los Amigos in September but will go elsewhere because My daughter will not go back there at all.
I would welcome comments please, especially from the Resort Manager.

Not a good choice for couples.
We stayed here in 2017 and booked through diamond resorts. This was probably the worst stay we have ever booked through our timeshare.
The room was clean and decent location and the grounds were nice. The problem lied with this place being more geared towards families. We were woken up daily by children singing at the pool being lead over a loudspeaker.
After hearing the wheels on the bus go round and round for 3 days in a row we decided to pack up and leave early. The only other problem we had was the bed was very short.
I spoke with the representative who told me most of the bedrooms were designed very small and they could not get a standard sized bed in the room. I’m 6,3″ and my feet hung completely off the bed.
I asked to change rooms and was told it would cost 500$ for a room with a bigger bed but the same square footage. I explained I could purchase a bed for 500$ and that was unacceptable but he did not seem to care. So overall if your short and travelling with your family this is the place for you.
Not standard expected from stays at other resorts
As a Sunterra/Diamond resorts owner we had heard good reports about Los Amigos and decided to visit.
Had to book a year in advance to get room size required (3 bed). The best thing I can say about this holiday is the weather was fantastic! The pool area was well maintained and clean however should you want a sunbed you will have to get up at 7am!!
The entertainment for kids during the day was minimal to say the least with only one member of staff employed.
The evening entertainment was a good quality but if you want a seat to watch it you have to eat in the restaurant as there is no bar/social area only the restaurant’s tables.
Thank goodness for neighbouring towns!!!
Average
Stayed in Los Amigos Beach Club in February, which was out of season for the resort and the Costa Del Sol.
The resort has both its negative points and positive points. Firstly positive: it is in a good location just off the A-7 next to the main road (be careful when finding the resort look out for the lighthouse on the cliff top then watch for the LABC signs). Its location means it is really easy to access all of the Costa Del Sol. The apartment was really clean no dust or cracks in tiles as other revies commented. Cleaner came in everyday without fail and did a superb job. The staff at the resort are very friendly always happy to help you. The resort is in walking distance of a group of shops that contain restaurants, takeaways etc. The Chinese is good. The resort has a great little supermarket, restaurant and some separate shops/restaurants on the road down to reception. The Gecko Bar always seemed busy, and Papa Luigis has a large outdoor seating area probably great in the summer months.
The Negative Points: Maybe because we visited in February there was a lot of building work, very loud from about 7am to 6pm my advice check before you book to see if they will be doing any work. For a beach club, there is no view of a beach from anywhere in the resort or the sea just other buildings or the main road or looking out onto further development.
I would advise you to avoid any apartments around number 30-40 they are all above the restaurant we had two problems loud music from 9pm till 1am then staff shouting while they pack up, we also had smells coming through the air vents at night and in the morning as they cooked meals.
We had two visits from cockroaches during the stay as they were attracted by the food of the restaurant.
You need a car when staying at the resort if you want to go off site there is nothing much around the resort.
Hated it We were robbed
This resort has serious security issues, we had our apartment broken into due to the total lack of security for this resort they provided superb swimming pool safety to excess!
But the accommodation can be broken into at will as ours was and the staff of this resort couldn’t careless it took them two attempts to relocate us, needless to say, we will not be returning to Los Amigos and would advise others not but if you do take a chance please use the room safe and alarm .
