Spacious and clean
We did not use the pool or gym. The gym equipment was very run down and not all were operational
At the time of booking only 2 bedroom suites were available so for two of us it was spacious.
Most places we wished to visit were east of Mougins so we spent much time driving and paying tolls.
Through no fault of the resort, when we arrived in Nice we could not access data on our phones. We had a printout of the directions from the booking details and they had much to be desired. A 15 minute drive took nearly 90 minutes because the verbal directions and the roads were very confusing. We had to stop at a shop to get better directions. MANAGEMENT: PLEASE add a map to your directions. I am sure we were not the first to encounter this problem.
We were Club Intrawest owners, which has been taken over by Diamond / Embarc. In comparison to the Club Intrawest properties this resort is sub par…older and not as classy or special. Had we not needed to use our timeshare points by September 30th, it may have been more economical to book through Expedia.
If one wishes to visit Monaco, Eze, Villefranche du Sur, St Paul de Vence, Antibes and Nice, this Cub would NOT be our first recommendation as there was much driving and tolls as all of these locales were east.
Summary: basic, adequate, not special, difficult to find using their directions.

Basic accommodation
We stayed here in July/Aug 2012 for 2 weeks. Mougins old town is beautiful and the resort is ideally located for a trip to the Cote D’azur. Though we had a great holiday in Mougins and Cannes, we were disappointed with the accommodation. We felt the photos did not represent the apartments and that they were very basic.
I have never stayed in a timeshare and I admit I was expecting the apartments to be of a much higher quality than your average apartment – I admit I have little knowledge of timeshares. They had not been updated for a long time (I would guess 20+ years?) and in my opinion, they need renovating. The kitchen was the smallest I have ever had and was not enjoyable to cook in. There was no oven and the microwave, kettle and toaster were across the room on a tiny table?? All the furniture was scratched and chipped.
In my apartment the carpet in the bedroom stank very badly – like wet, smelly dog – so much so I bought some incense.
The apartments were cleaned regularly and the bed was lovely – which was a bonus, but I found most of the staff to be unhelpful and not very cheerful. The exception was the pool attendants who seemed nice. The restaurant was overrated and we had a very average meal there.
I would not recommend the apartments as they are quite expensive and I believe they need updating. In another review a Club Mougins representative states there are on going renovations but I saw no evidence of this.
Nice resort, but needs more
Had a very lovely stay at Le Club Mougins. Taxi ride from Nice was nice and wonderful. Check-in was painless and informative. Customer service was very good. Lost two stars due to lack of activities, transportation to Mougins village, and no on-site restaurant.
Clean, rather average suites that have well equipped kitchens.
Enjoyed a pleasant stay. It is a 30 minute bus ride to Cannes and the train station with access to the entire Cote d’Azur. The bus stop is a 10 minute walk from the resort. A modest pool at the resort but not much of interest on site. Mougins is a 30 minute hike up a steep hill with lovely restaurants and art galleries. Location is less than optimal.
Nice location -decent but not luxurious
We stayed here for three months using diamond international points. It was clean and decent accommodation with plenty of space. Some reviewers have commented on poor WiFi but we found it to be excellent. The location is great – a short drive from Cannes, Antibes, Nice etc. We were glad to move here after two nights in Nice and enjoy the tranquillity. We didn’t sample the restaurant or pool so can’t comment on these. There is a big supermarket just five minutes walk away and the old village of mougins is a bracing walk up a steep hill (you can also drive), and has great views and unbelievably high prices. The bed was very comfy. However the apartment lacked a feeling of luxury for me, and the verandas of every room seemed to be angled so they did not get the sun at any time of day at all. As other reviewers have mentioned, the club is built on a hillside so there are a lot of steps.
Beautiful property marred by poor service
On our maiden family vacation to Nice, decided to stay in the apartment style Le Cloude b Mougins mainly due to the beautiful balcony that’s prominently mentioned on the booking site.. unfortunately we got a raw deal since ours was one of the three apartments out of 55 that has no balcony. The staff didn’t even want to listen when we raised a request for a change of apartment. I was promised that the manager would call and explain but obviously he has better things to do than taking care of customers. Very poor attitude in a beautiful place!!
Good base to visit surrounding area, but probably wouldn’t use this accommodation again.
Mougins is a lovely village in itself, but this is definitely a good place to base yourself if you have a car to tour the surrounding area. Cote D’Azur is still very popular.
We visited Nice, Grasse, The beach at Frejus, Moustieres St Marie, the Gorges du Verdon, Antibes for a boat trip.
The apartments are lovely with everything you need, and the local restaurants are vey good too.
The only downsides are that there are a lot of hills and steps, (not great on my knees) and when choosing to sit out on the veranda above the pool, every so often we got a whiff of the sewers or drains which was most unpleasant and really off putting.
For this reason we probably wouldn’t return to these apartments, as from memory the last time we came 8 years ago, the same thing occurred, but we had forgotten about it.
