Westgate Painted Mountain Golf Resort

Westgate Painted Mountain Golf Resort

Wish I could give it ZERO

Spent a week in a studio (motel room) here in Early December 2016 on an exchange through II. Walls are very thin.

You can hear your neighbours and we had a barking dog next door, all night one night.

When we asked the office they said there is only one room in the resort that allows dogs and we were next to it.

Then there was the parking – or I should say lack thereof.

One night we had to park 2 buildings from our room and had to park next to the golf course. At night they water the golf course with reclaimed water and it sprayed all over our truck. The hard water left white stains on our truck that wouldn’t come off. It’s a long story, but we finally had to pay $150 to get the spots buffed out and the resort absolutely refused to accept any responsibility for the damage even though they admitted it had happened before. They even told us they are not even part of the golf course. (Then why is it called Painted Mountain “Golf Resort“? )

Charging for Wi-Fi is unacceptable. Even though it’s a timeshare they apparently rent by the night and some of the clientele looked rather seedy.

When I booked the room I was told every room had a patio or balcony.

The patio consisted of a table and chairs outside the front door under a stairwell with NO privacy at all.

We’ve stayed in several other timeshares in the Scottsdale area and this was the worst. Not a place I’d ever stay again.
