Es Pueto Club Resorts

Exceeded expectations

We have just returned from a lovely week at Es Puerto. It was booked via Dial an Exchange a couple of months ago.

Communication from Benito at the resort prior to the trip was great. He informed us where to collect our keys as we were arriving late at night and arranged a welcome food pack for us so we didn’t need to worry about finding an open supermarket on Easter Sunday.

The view from the apartment (406) was stunning…it looked out over the marina.

The apartment was spacious and although the furniture was a bit dated it was clean and comfortable. The small kitchen was well equipped with dishwasher (dishwashing capsules and washing up liquid were provided), a washing machine, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and there was ample crockery, pots, pans and utensils.

The two bedrooms shared a small balcony but we didn’t really use it as there was a large balcony off the living room (with table and chairs). There were blackout shutters in both bedrooms. This helped my two young boys sleep a little longer in the mornings!

The showers did the job but unfortunately, the main bathroom was a bit smelly so we tended to keep that door closed and all used the ensuite for showers (sewerage smell- presumably old plumbing?). The rooms were cleaned and towels changed every day except Sunday and Wednesdays.

Benito was a wealth of information about the local area and arranged taxis when we needed them. We had some lovely walks along the promenade and along the beach and then up by the river to the Roman bridge.

The hotel pool was spotless and although a bit chilly for me it didn’t bother my husband or kids. Pool towels are provided on arrival by Benito. The spotless beach is 5 minutes walk away and perfect for kids.

The play park in front of the hotel was a great place tor my kids to burn off some energy.

There is a lovely restaurant on site with friendly staff (mainly Luca the Waiter and his mum who cooks the most fantastic pizzas and pasta dishes). Luca’s mum was also singing on our last evening. What an amazing voice she has!

There are so many other good restaurants next to Es Puerto that we were truly spoilt for choice.

We took our young boys to an outdoor adventure park called Acrobosc. It’s just a short taxi drive away(about 8 Euros) and is open from 2pm at this time of year. There were different circuits available to suit different ages and abilities and my boys had loads of fun. Advise taking own snacks and drinks though.

We also took a bus into Ibiza Town to see the old town. Highly recommend doing this as views are fantastic. The bus station is in the centre of town and buses run regularly. Fare was 2 Euros each way.

This is definitely somewhere we would all love to return to one day soon.
